SHERLOCK HOLMES A STUDY IN FEAR
OTHELLO
The world’s most famous detective in the world’s most thrilling case...
Dr Watson, he begs the good Doctor’s assistance for one final case ... and an exhilarating evening of chase, disguise, mystery and detection are the inevitable result, culminating in a breath-taking showdown at the tumultuous Reichenbach Falls.
A gripping new play based on the classic story THE FINAL PROBLEM by Arthur Conan Doyle. The world’s most successful detective takes on the world’s most notorious villain ... Sherlock Holmes, brilliant, flawed and inclined to justice, locks horns in deadly combat with Professor James Moriarty, brilliant, flawed and wholly inclined to evil!
“a brilliantly executed and thoroughly enjoyable production for fans and non-fans of Holmes alike” (Panic Online Magazine)
Tickets: £10 / £9 concs Running Time: 1 hour 50 mins, plus 20 mins interval
When Holmes arrives unexpectedly at the door of his old friend and colleague
A tempestuous journey from scandal and intrigue to lust and vengeance. Othello is a legend in his own lifetime: noble, brave, victorious. Honest Iago fuels his venom with malignance and hateful contempt. Othello’s world will be brought vividly to life as a live string quartet and stunning ensemble cast combine with some of literature’s most vibrant language and characters. A dangerous tale of ambition, jealousy and love will unfurl as Shakespeare’s classic tale of deception hurtles to its dramatic and poignant conclusion.
Tickets: £13 / £12 concs Special student price of £5 per ticket Running Time: 2 hours 30 mins, inc. interval

Djangologie
R3 Tenors
Hot Club inspired bands are far from a rarity on the UK jazz scene, but what marks out Djangologie as something special is the way in which they take up the original spirit and breathe fresh life into it.
October sees the return of R3 Tenors to Hartlepool. An entertaining programme of popular songs and arias mixed with Neapolitan repertoire that gets the full tenor treatment.
With a mix of tunes from the ‘30s, original compositions drawing on the tradition and recent sell-out gigs at The Sage, Gateshead, theatres and festivals throughout the country – this is inspired homage rather than deferential homage.
The group led by Hartlepool born Robert Crowe have performed all over the UK, Florence and Paris with concerts in Theatres from The Citizens in Glasgow to His Majesty's in Aberdeen. Formed by Tenors who belonged to the full International Company of Scottish Opera 14 years ago after singing in concert with Pavarotti and Carreras. They have enjoyed great success presenting a winning format of very popular songs mixed with music from the West End and opera. This will prove to be a popular evening and the ticket prices have been kept at a realistic level.

We make timeless music and give it away, like our brand new album All Our Dancing Days. We involve people in everything we do, and they never fail to amaze us. We have fun and make art. We create events to remember. We talk about what we do and stuff we care about. We hail from Yorkshire in the north of England, where we have an enigmatic studio called The Crypt. We share what we learn from the mistakes that we make. Fingers crossed, we will die with our hearts out in bloom. hopeandsocial.com

Nobody sleeps when The Young’uns are in town! They may have established their fast-growing reputation in the folk world with sublime a cappella harmonies, but the Teesside trio – Sean Cooney, Michael Hughes and David Eagle – are an unlikely force of nature on stage, beguiling audiences with irrepressible humour, bold vocals, gripping storylines and innate musicality. Describing their gigs as ‘absolute chaos’, they go on stage without set-lists, relying on infallible instinct and their unique rapport with audiences to deliver a killer show.
