• In 1964, Bob Lee, VP of the Har-Tru Corporation, started Lee Tennis® Products. • In the ‘70s, Lee Tennis began manufacturing mechanical rollers and clay court maintenance tools and also established guidelines for court maintenance. • In 1975, with the popularity of Har-Tru, the USTA decided to change the surface of the U.S. Open from grass to Har-Tru. The U.S. Open was played on the green clay for three years. • In the early ‘80s, Lee Tennis began offering new products, seminars, catalogs and hands-on customer service. • In the late ‘80s, Lee Tennis purchased the rights to the HydroCourt underground watering system and further developed and standardized it for the industry. • In 1991, Lee Tennis moved into its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.The Charlottesville,Virginia, plant contains many modern innovations to improve both quality and productivity. • In 1998, Lee Tennis was purchased by Luck Stone, a longtime partner and their Virginia-based supplier of stone materials. • In 1998, Luck Stone acquired the manufacturing assets of the

original Har-Tru material provider and bought the Har-Tru brand. • In 2000, a uniquely designed 25,000-square-foot covered storage building was added that ensures your Har-Tru will remain safe and dry, even when trucks are loaded during unpleasant weather. • In the fall of 2006, Lee Tennis updated the equipment used for bagging and packaging. The new equipment was more efficient and safe for our employees and provided a better environment in which to work. • In January 2007, Lee Tennis introduced ClayTech, a revolutionary new product that makes clay courts simpler to care for and easier to own. • 2008 marked the introduction of the innovative Advantage lighting fixture, bringing the joy back into night tennis. • In 2009 China calls; Lee Tennis helps install the first HydroCourts courts in China. • 2010 - Lee Tennis changes name to Har-Tru Sports. • 2012 - Har-Tru Sports acquires JA Cissel and Century Sports.

The tine system is composed of stainless steel rods less than 1/8th inch in diameter that puts just the right bite into your court surface, leaving a finely groomed, highly manicured appearance. The Har-Tru Gator Rake can be towed behind a cart or pulled by hand depending on your needs. HAR-TRU MAINTENANCE DVD INS01 The Har-Tru Maintenance DVD set includes 3 DVDs filmed in partnership with USPTA. The DVDs cover topics from “What is Har-Tru?” to the latest in sub-surface irrigation, annual maintenance procedures and step-by-step instructions for topdressing.

The lute/scarifier is two tools in one – made of all-aluminum for scarifying, leveling and removing loose granules. It is strong and sturdy, yet light enough to use all day and excellent for spreading new material during top-dressing. The concave shape of the 30”-wide blade allows the tool to “float” along the surface, without grabbing or digging in. Also available in 48” width.

10 & UNDER TENNIS LINES Har-Tru has developed the first set of temporary and permanent lines specifically for Har-Tru courts. The temporary lines can be installed by one person in 5-7 minutes. The permanent lines are colored dark green to blend into the Har-Tru surface.

36’ Temporary Lines – TAPQS36HT. Our 36’ temporary lines come in red, to match the red ball used on 36’courts and to show up sharply against the Har-Tru green. The system comes in two pieces, an outside rectangle and an inside I. The pieces are attached together with Velcro and secured to the court surfaces with just 12 nails. Nails are included with the lines. Lines are 1” wide. 60’ Temporary Lines – TAPQS60HT. These lines are identical to the 36’ lines except they are colored orange to match the orange ball used in 60’ tennis. 10 nails (included) secure these to the court. One Velcro intersection allows you to install the lines without disconnecting the center strap. All intersections are stitched together. Lines are 1 1/2” wide. 36’ & 60’ Permanent Lines – TAPQS60GP. The 60’ lines are made from our Herringbone tape but are colored green. These are designed for courts that are regularly used for both full size and 60’ play. The green color helps the 60’ layout blend into the court when the regulation size court is in use. These lines are nailed into the court surface similar to standard court lines. Each box comes with 180’ of tape, enough for one 60’ court or one 36’ court.

The tape stretcher ratchet has a 2”-wide slot to insert tape for quick and easy installation of straight line tapes by one person. The use of a leather pad and support strap give a stable low base, allowing the ratchet to pull the tape straight and taut just above the surface so it can be nailed securely. The tape stretcher will improve the straightness of your tape, as well as decrease your installation time. It is especially helpful with old tapes.

The Knee Nailer was designed to reduce the grind of hand nailing. It is constructed of highly durable 11 gauge steel, stable wheels and a removable, 1” heavy-density foam pad to kneel on. The top of the unit is 3-3/8” off the ground. By placing one knee on the cushioned surface, an individual can roll comfortably along the length of the line without having to constantly get up and down. With 2000 nails in one court, this little accessory provides big relief.

The Tow Model Roller is an easy-to-use alternative to the power roller. It can be pulled by a golf cart, lawn tractor or utility vehicle and still offer the same rolling speed and convenience as the power roller. This unit can be upgraded to a motorized roller by adding the power head of the Court Pac Pro as shown on page 13. We now offer equipment from three leaders in irrigation. Why? Facilities have individual needs and preferences and we want to provide a choice. All the heads we offer have stainless steel risers and are highly suited for tennis court sprinkler systems. Here are a few notes that might help you make a selection: 1. Ascertain the pressure and volume of your water source and the size of your incoming line. Then utilize the chart on the next page to see what heads are an option. 2. The higher the model numbers the more water the head will put on the court and the further the throw radius. 3. The Rainbird Falcon Series has a different head for full circle (FC) and part circle (PC) rotation so you want to select the head that meets your needs. 4. HS means it is a high speed head. High speed heads turn more quickly than standard heads allowing them to distribute more water per watering cycle. Due to the faster rotating speed the distance they throw the water will be reduced.
