The department is made up of 31 full time

The department consists of 33 full time officers, which now includes a full time code enforcement officer. HPD has five seasonal officers who serve as school protection officers during the school year.

There is a patrol division, criminal investigations division and two full-time School Re-ment. In 2020 the HPD responded to 15,704 calls for service.
