Haru Yamada Mathieu

I'm Haru, written 晴BlueSun or Sunny, 晴天的晴! I grew up in Japan, Singapore and the US, and have worked and had a family in the US, UK and France. I changed between Japanese, American and British school systems and navigated my kids through French, British and American systems, enhancing their sociolinguistic skills in a Japanese weekend school I founded. Switching educational systems can be tricky. I've made mistakes and learned things the hard way, mostly through trial and error since there is little information. Through publication I'd like to bring clarity to critical cross-cultural educational junctures. Knowing the landscape can help create a more relaxed environment and enrich your family's multiple linguistic and cultural experiences.
