Harvey Abraham Kryger
Harvey Kryger, formally recognized as Abraham Harvey Kryger, has recently transitioned into retirement after a distinguished tenure as the owner and Medical Director of the Monterey Preventive Medical Clinic in Monterey, California. His facility was dedicated to forestalling illnesses by encouraging a preventive approach through nutrition, physical activity, and hormone management. Although he stepped back from his full-time role in 2023, he continues to be involved in the field, providing research insights and guidance to his former patients. With dual qualifications as an MD and a DMD, Kryger is also a certified family practitioner and the innovative founder of the Alternative Medicine Foundation. His extensive experience, spanning over five decades, has solidified his status as a veteran and vanguard in the medical community, particularly in preventive healthcare. Kryger's academic career was rooted at the University of Manitoba, Canada, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 1964, a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1969, and a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1973. During his internship and fellowships, he pursued further specialization at Stanford University’s Santa Clara Valley Medical Centre, focusing on surgical skills and burn care. Kryger’s professional journey commenced in 1969 as a dentist in Vancouver, Canada, where he also provided invaluable dental services to Indigenous communities in Northern Manitoba. His role expanded significantly in 1975 when he joined the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles as a staff physician, later ascending to Medical Director. He was also instrumental in the holistic health movement from 1977 to 1980 while working at the Sonoma County Holistic Health Center in Monte Rio, CA, where he collaborated with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to integrate holistic methods into traditional medical practices.
