The Porter MXR flowmeter makes up for many of the inconveniences found in other brands of units. Flow meter tubes are calibrated so that with a subliminal glance the operator can tell which gas is dominant.

The constant gas flow can be more easily adjusted during administration for both % gas mixture and overall flow rate (with the nitrous proportion being maintained - which ensures accuracy of administration and saves gas) The proportioning valve is calculated in percentage of nitrous oxide to ensure operational attention toward the sedative gas (which cannot exceed 70%).
