2 0 2 1 “Hari Orgo Admin Design” - Corporate office Design

The Hari Orgo Chemical Company Corporate Design Studio Project was led by our team in collaboration with DesignNest, with a focus on interior architecture. Managing both laboratory and administrative spaces, the project was characterized by the strategic use of a grid system and a palette of basic primary colors, reflecting the raw industrial aesthetics synonymous with Hari Orgo’s identity. The design, implemented under the guidance of an Interior Architect, successfully harmonized functionality and visual appeal, creating a cohesive and dynamic environment that resonates with the innovative spirit of the chemical company.

THESIS OVERVIEW - Bachelor’s Interior Design - Year 4

This thesis embarks on a comprehensive exploration of Aluminium casting, aiming to understand its nature, processes, and applications with a specific focus on designing a superior-quality furniture element. The research delves into various casting methods, utilizing case studies to identify optimal techniques that balance quality benchmarking and cost-effectiveness. With a framework emphasizing functionally stable cast products and minimal development time, the study scrutinizes considerations such as cast-ability and production stages during the design phase. On-site visits to local foundries provide firsthand insights into the scope and limitations of casting techniques, considering parameters like aesthetics, cost, and durability. Additionally, the thesis examines the properties and finishes of Aluminium processed through different casting methods, offering a detailed analysis. The ultimate goal is to propose a well-informed, innovative furniture design that showcases Aluminium’s potential in creating aesthetically pleasing and functionally robust elements, encapsulating a journey of exploration, analysis, and design innovation within the intersection of material science and furniture craftsmanship.

2 0 1 7 DOCUMENTATION

The Mahabat Makbara Documentation Project encapsulates a meticulous on-site study, incorporating detailed plans and elevations that unveil the architectural splendor of this historical gem in Junagadh (362001). The focus lies on intricate carving details, bringing to life the distinctive onion-shaped domes, elegant French windows, evocative sculptures, and the masterful craftsmanship of marble tracery work, columns, jalis, and silver doorways. Notably, the minarets with winding staircases showcase the monument’s vertical dynamism. This section aims to present a comprehensive visual narrative, capturing the rich cultural and artistic heritage embedded in the Mahabat Makbara.

2 0 1 6 FURNITURE DESIGN

During the Bachelor of Design program, a focus on furniture design and joinery details was evident in various projects undertaken. The practical aspects of executing these projects were emphasized through hands-on work within the university workshop. This approach allowed for a comprehensive exploration of the intricacies involved in designing and crafting furniture. The projects aimed at imparting a nuanced understanding of joinery techniques, ensuring the development of skills in executing precise and functional furniture designs.
