DIGITAL PORTRAITURE Artistic technique

This project is the series of my most desirable digital artworks. Inspired by modern oil paintings, those portrait drawings were created by using simple lines and colors to enhance balance of lights, midtones, and darks along with clean, sharp edges.

TRADITIONAL PORTRAITURE Artistic technique

Drawing portrait of a person sitting right in front of me is one of the most amazing experience. By practicing with addiction to human facial anatomy, I have learnt more about patience and sophistication in traditional portraiture.

POSTER ART Artistic technique

The concept throughout these artworks is the contrasts and the simplicity of the multidimensional pattern with the use of bright colors that pop on top of the very dark blue background. I’d like to use geometric patterns inspired by floral fabrics and abstract colors with a modern twist.

PARK HYAT T SAIGON HOTEL Graduation Project / 2016

This is my most favourited project in my entire time studying because in the context of Graduation Project, I have a chance to to design the project of my choice. Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel have brought me through great surprise and curiosity. The unstoppable gravitation towards its ideal location, magnificent context, beautiful modern-classic architecture, which were the very first inspiration of how I renovate this hotel’s interior. Despite the establish goal of this project is to understand and apply the knowledge, skills, processes, and theories of interior design, I take this as a chance to present new concepts and imaginative solutions based on real problems. After 5 months hard-working, the design came out to be very satisfied reflected my fascination with Midcentury Modern design, my interest in the Art Deco style with its timeless look, which is still feel fresh and modern today. Briliantly located in the heart of Saigon, Park Hyatt is an impressive hospitality that welcomes guests with its luxurious ambiance, inspiring decor, and unsurpassed service and features. Because Saigon has long been considered the focal point of Vietnamese culture, Park Hyatt embraces the traditional values of French-colonial heritage that offers guests an courtesy and elegance accommodation experience. The renovation of this project based on the modern-classical architectural forms to fresh up the interior space and function, at the same time associated with traditional elements, material trends, to present the beauty of a tropical country.

M A JESTIC SAIGON HOTE L Pre-Graduation Project / 2016

Majestic Saigon Hotel is one of my favourite architecture in the city. Its marvelous classic beauty standing still in a bustling corner attracted me everytime I cross by Dong Khoi street. Opposed to its stunning scenery outside, the interior is not as good as expected. Therefore I desire to find a solution for this inspring project, which will carry the value of conservation and preservation. Besides the goal to understand and apply the knowledge, skills, processes, and theories of hospitality interior design, I also want to have a thorough understanding of Indochine Style, Midcentury Modern design, and Art Deco style all because of its timeless look. This is a personal project aiming to experimentally using Marbling techniques, which my friend and I worked on in 1 month. I’ve been really into Suminagashi technique. Suminagashi means ‘floating ink’, it is the ancient art of Japanese paper marbling. It requires focus and patience, the pattern is always something delicate and beautiful. These notebooks were sold as limited edition artworks, 50 notebooks with ‘one-and-only’ covers which were carefully hand-binded and beautifully named!
