GO ON Unterlaufene Dielen Shifted floor-boards Der Berliner Künstler Dieter Balzer benutzt die Farbe, um Formen zu schaffen und sofort wieder zu unterlaufen. Bei seinem Fußbodendesign Shift überlagert und zersetzt die farbliche Beschichtung das Verlegeraster der Dielen. Dabei überlässt er die Vollendung des kreativen Prozesses dem Betrachter, in diesem Fall dem Bodenleger. Die über sechs Dielen gedruckte Ausgangsfigur fügt sich je nach Art und Reihenfolge der Verlegung zu immer neuen Strukturmustern, die auf der großen Fläche des Bodens freilich ins Ornamentale umschlagen. The Berlin artist Dieter Balzer uses colour to create shapes which he then immediately disrupts. The coloured coating of his flooring design Shift overlays and decomposes the installation grid of the boards. At the same time, he lets the viewer – in this case the floor layer – take the creative process to its culmination. The basic figure printed across six floor-boards can be joined at will to produce new surface patterns depending on the method and sequence of installation – over the large area of the floor, however, these mutate into ornamentation.

Doch geflammt übertreffen sie auf eimal alles andere. Eine weitere markante Oberfläche bietet der leichte und dennoch steife, nicht brennbare Crash- und Schall absorbierende Aluminiumschaum, der sonst in Sandwichplatten verborgen ist. Auch die unbedeckte Aluminiumwabe gibt eine reizvolle Oberfläche ab.
