Dear Rider Welcome to this year’s Haute Route Dolomites. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is in place so you can live an experience of a lifetime.

Event Overview The fifth edition of the Haute Route Dolomites offers an exceptional course across some of the most beautiful and unspoilt mountains in Europe. The course features 9 categorised climbs with a total of 264.8km and 8,600m (9132) of climbing over three days.

It is important to be aware of all the Rules & Regulations of the Haute Route which include timekeeping & rankings, time limits, equipment allowed, safety, medical and personal assistance, anti-doping and other important topics.

The following equipment is mandatory and must be presented by every rider during registration to pass the Equipment Safety Check prior to collecting your bib and registration pack: • Hard-shell helmet • Long sleeve thermal jacket • Thermal overshoes • Leg warmers • Full finger winter gloves

Sustainability
• Respect traffic rules at all times (traffic lights, stop signs, etc.) • Ride on the right hand side of the road • Respect traffic signs of the Haute Route • Respect other road users (not involved in the event) • Wear a hardshell helmet at all times • Wear your bib on your back • Position your frame plate on the front of your handlebars
Solo / Duo
All riders taking part in the Duo competition will NOT be ranked in the Solo rankings. The Duo rankings will be established based on the time of the second rider of each team on each stage.
By entering the Haute Route, you commit to respect the environment and the natural areas visited. It is strictly forbidden to leave any type of waste (paper, plastic packaging etc) on the course. Protest
Riders wishing to report infringements, contest timings or report something must collect and fill in a protest form from the Info Point within two hours of finishing the stage. Decisions communicated to the concerned riders after the evening briefing.

Technical Assistance Assistance on the course • Mavic is the only party authorised to provide assistance on the course outside of designated feed stations. Riders receiving outside assistance - mechanical or otherwise - are liable to penalties and ultimately disqualification • Every participant is expected to be selfsufficient in case of a puncture If you suffer a mechanical, please be patient and inform the driver of the closest course vehicle - they will inform Mavic. Assistance in the event village and at the start line: Mavic will have a booth at each event village and start line. The team will attempt to resolve any mechanical issues. 10
Replacement parts, spares and accessories: Mavic will not provide spare parts. Although there may be some bike shops close to the course, we recommend you bring specific spares including: • A rear-mech hanger • Allen keys specific to your bike • Spare brake blocks (front and rear) • Inner tubes with the correct length valves and CO2 cans or a pump

Event Village in Predazzo All riders are required to register at the Grand Depart Village on Thursday 20th September in Predazzo between 2:00pm and 7:00pm. The village will be located Piazza dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo.
How to get there
AIRPORT The closest airport is Venise Marco Polo
CAR Drive from home or rent a car from your arrival airport
SHUTTLE Book the Official Shuttle from Venise Marco Polo (VCE) and be dropped off at the Event Village

Registration Day VILLAGE ARRIVAL – The event village will be open from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Before exploring the village and visiting partners’ and exhibitors’ booths, make sure you follow the steps outlined below.

BIKE PARK – Use the secure bike park while you complete the registration process. EQUIPMENT CHECK – Present the following mandatory equipment to the organisation, before being allowed to proceed to bib collection: Hard-shell helmet, long sleeve thermal jacket, full-finger winter gloves, thermal overshoes, leg warmers.

BIKE PLATE – Once you’ve collected your registration pack, attach your bike plate on to your handlebars. It is forbidden to alter, cut or fold your bike plate. BRIEFING – Once you have completed all these steps and visited our partner and exhibitor stands please ensure that you attend the mandatory Rider Briefing at 7:00pm at the village. You can use the secure bike park located nearby. N.B: The Rider Briefing will be followed by the Event Supporter Briefing which is mandatory for friends and family following the event by car. PASTA PARTY – To start the Haute Route in the right way, enjoy an apéro courtesy of Velosophe and make new friends over dinner at the Pasta Party which will take place at the Event Village straight after the Rider Briefing. Finally, don’t forget to pick up your bike if you used the bike park. There is no secure bike park overnight.

Massage Process • Book your massage at the Info Point as soon as possible after you cross the finish line. • You will receive a massage ticket indicating your allotted time slot for your massage. • Arrive at the massage area at your assigned time with your ticket; late-comers and riders without a ticket will not be treated. • Bring your towel to place on the massage table. • Massages last 15 minutes.

Your start time will be defined by your overall ranking (the last rider in the overall ranking starting the time trial first). Your starting group will be published after the finish of the second stage on the Haute Route website and at the briefing. • Go to the waiting area at your starting block time
