INTRODUCING

Pra Loup Seven high mountain cols overlook Ubaye, an unspoilt Valley in the southern Alps. Described as legendary, and with good reason: the Tour de France has passed through dozens of times and many big names have come unstuck here, From Poulidor to Eddy Merckx, right up to Stefan Schumacher. 4000 km of rides, circuits and bicycle tours are available to you, from the italian border to the Serre-Ponçon lake. Fill your lungs with fresh moutain air and head off in search of the natural and cultural wealth of Ubaye Valley. Next to two famous passes: col de la Cayolle and col d’Allos, Pra Loup is an attractive moutain resort as the heart of Ubaye Valley, at the gateway to the splendid

Mercantour National Park. Since 1975, with the victory of Bernard Thevenet over Eddy Merckx and the Tour de France in 2015, the climb to Pra Loup has become a must for cyclists. The exceptionnal view over the valley that awaits you on arrival at the resort worth the pain! Like road biking, moutain biking is one of the most popular pastimes in the Ubaye valley. For thrillseekers, downhill racing is also as its best in Ubaye. Pra Loup features a thrilling bike park accessible to all levels, winding its way between larchtrees: a genuine riders' playground. In 2020 and 2021 the resort will host the UCI Masters Mountain Bike World Championships, a huge event that will gather in Pra Loup the best riders!

From the IRONMAN to Nice-Cannes Marathon, the arrival of the Tour de France of Sailing and the 2016 European Football Championships – these international sporting events have made Nice a go-to destination for sports fans over recent years. Whilst Nice hosted 6 of the Women’s Football World Cup games between June 7th and July 7th this year, the Ironman 70.3 World Championships are next on the schedule on September 7th-8th as well as the Top 14 semi-finals in June 2020. Cycling has played a key role in the sports calendar in Nice, with the finish of the Paris-Nice pro race being held here every year in March, and the fourth stage of the 2013 Tour de France involving a team time trial around Nice. There is also the famous Transvésubienne mountain bike raid from La Colmiane to Nice, and there will soon be the Grand Départ of the Tour de France on June 27th-28th 2020. Situated between the sea and the mountains, the Nice region is a stunning natural environment for cycling in the heart of the first metropolis in France: Nice Côte d’Azur. The Haute Route Alps from Megève to Nice plays an important role in the dynamism of the region, with the two last stages offering riders the opportunity to discover the beauty of the region. From the massif of Mercantour to the Angels Bay in Nice, riders will also get the chance to pass over the famous Col de la Bonette at 2715m.
