What is your property’s current biggest challenge & how do you manage this challenge in a highly competitive industry?

With the post-pandemic reopening of Singapore’s borders since last year, there has been an influx of visitors to the country. The number of MICE and FIT arrivals are encouraging but they have yet to return to pre-pandemic levels.

Sentosa Resort & Spa is located on, has undergone a rebranding, with a new tagline, Where Discovery Never Ends. Just like how visitors to the island will discover something new with each visit, our guests will also have that same experience when they come to the Resort.

We regularly refresh our offerings to create varied experiences to cater to different groups of guests. For example, our Infinite Family Experiences offers families a comfortable stay with complimentary use of the kids’ club, and our FurKid Retreat is designed for pet owners. For couples, we offer A Romance Hideaway, which comes with dining credit and a massage for two. The Resort also houses the largest Sofitel SPA, where guests can enjoy relaxing treatments.

What makes the hotel really special?

Set on over 27 acres of outdoor palatial spaces, the Resort’s architecture is inspired by Paris’ Jardin du Luxembourg but with an ambience reminiscent of a Balinese resort. The Resort offers a wide variety of accommodation options.

Guests have three F&B venues to dine at, from the all-day dining restaurant Kwee Zeen, to Italian restaurant The Cliff and LeBar. Pets are also welcomed at the outdoor areas of the dining venues.

When it comes to activities at the Resort, guests are spoilt for choice, from the 33m long swimming pool, to a fish spa, a fitness centre, and also Sofitel SPA.

The Resort is not only family-friendly, but also pet-friendly with holiday packages specially designed for families and pet owners.

How do you prepare now to remain relevant and in-demand in future?

At the Resort, we have a strong focus on service excellence, to ensure that our ambassadors are able to meet the different needs of our guests who come from all over the world.

We will continue to work closely with Sentosa Development Corporation and other key partners to reach out to the local and international markets with a host of vibrant activities that will enable guests to experience all that Sentosa has to offer, as well as the Sofitel Joie de Vivre.

How do you expect the association with Haute Grandeur will benefit your brand in the medium/long run?

Our association with Haute Grandeur is a fitting complement to the Sofitel brand. Through the Haute Grandeur platform, Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa will gain additional exposure to the luxury market, given an exciting calendar of events on Sentosa and in Singapore that would appeal to this discerning group of travellers.
