DR. CAROLYN CHANG, RICCARDO BENAVIDES, ALLISON CARLSON, Farah Makras, Jorge Maumer, and Marybeth Shimmon hosted a book signing for Komal Shah’s book, Making Their Mark: Art by Women in the Shah Garg Collection, at the prestigious Villa Taverna in San Francisco. The book, which has recently been featured in the New York Times, is a stunning tribute to the achievements and contributions of women and minorities in the world of art. The collection showcases the work of some of the most innovative and groundbreaking artists of our time, including Kara Walker, Julie Mehretu, and Yayoi Kusama. As Dr. Chang noted during the event, it is a testament to the power of art to inspire, challenge, and transform our perspectives. The event was inspiring, thoughtprovoking, and memorable.
