For visitors to the 2022 First Internet Bank Home-A-Rama at Chatham Hills in Westfield, countertops and other stone applications are always an eye-catching detail that make a major impact. Indy Custom Stone was proud to partner with three custom builders at the stunning homes in this year’s show. Within each home, built by Sigma Builders, Carrington Homes, and Wedgewood Builders, the stone details, design, and installation by Indy Custom Stone went unmatched. Working closely with Indy Custom Stone, each builder, along with their interior designers, selected both up-andcoming and classic stones to feature in a variety of spaces throughout each home.

QUARTZ

The consistent veining, colors, edge profiles and durability of quartz makes this trendy manmade surface appropriate to use in a myriad of home applications. Each HAR home used a quartz selection, but the detailed edge profiles are the true statement maker! A gorgeous marble-esque quartz was used in Sigma Builders kitchen and designer Stephanie Wiott specified coordinating edge profiles to enhance the large island where family and friends can gather.

GRANITE

With the popularity of other stones growing, granite might not be a top choice for some, but it still has a beautiful place in the home. Wedgewood Building Company and interior designers Thomas and Jayne selected a soothing granite for their Modern Mediterranean laundry room and a dramatic granite called “Lava Oro” for the wine bar, which compliments the moody tones floor to ceiling. Carrington Homes and interior designer Stacy Stater of Home and Willow packed a punch in their home’s powder bathroom. By adding a perfectly veined piece of granite as the sink top that continued with a high splash, they nicely accented the sink area with adjacent walls covered in abstract geometric wallcovering.

MARBLE

Although some may be intimidated by the thought of marble as a countertop surface, its durability shows from longevity of use throughout history. We love those builders, designers and homeowners who really went for it! In the Wedgewood home, you will find a complete showstopper in the main level primary bathroom with a gorgeous marble called “Super White Leather” completed with fabulous, mitered edge profile details. Not all marble is white, grey or polished! Sigma Builders selected “Bianco Rhino”, a taupe-veined marble in their primary bathroom with a honed finish to remove the traditional shine of marble.

QUARTZITE

This natural stone has an array of color and veining options with beauty to boot! It’s a great stone to consider for kitchens and bar tops. Wedgewood selected “Aria” quartzite in a leather finish for their open concept kitchen and lounge room. The lighter countertop selection with naturally dramatic veining compliments both lighter and darker cabinets and spaces. Carrington Homes also selected a quartzite for their kitchen, but with a polished finished, called “Allure”. Their design incorporated mitered edges and a splash feature that replaced the traditional tile backsplash concept and enhanced the stunning dramatic effect of the quartzite.
