When did you get into Real Estate? Graduating as an Interior Designer afforded me hands-on experience in the building and housing arena beginning in 1999. I entered a career in residential design, and model home merchandising based out of Atlanta. A contract position in Charleston led me into custom-built and luxury homes. Working alongside builders, I quickly fell in love with the whole construction process, drafting plans and conceptualizing projects. Naturally these progressions led me into the Real Estate world where I began in on-site sales for a nationally recognized developer and have been licensed as a Realtor since 2004.
What sets you apart from other agents? My family moved to Roswell in the late 80’s so I’m very familiar with the surrounding areas. We are avid equestrians and live on acreage so I feel fortunate to balance my residential portfolio with farm and land clients. With a background in building and design, the ability to visualize and paint the picture, I can speak knowledgeably on which
home improvements can help transform a property, the local market, and advise on what the return on investment could look like. Thankfully the design world has afforded me some incredible opportunities to lead renovations of all sizes on sold properties of mine throughout the years. Keeping that creative balance is important to me, and my clients find value in that.
What’s your biggest success to date? I consider success as simply enjoying what you do everyday in life. Seeing the smiling faces at the closing table of a dream accomplished not only for my client, but for me, is a success. I enjoy protecting the most important investment in my clients lives and that they trust me to do so. Many have ended up good friends of mine and some as close as family. Some of my proudest moments have been accepting awards such as Rookie of the Year in the early 2000’s, Top Producer in the ARA , and a Top Performer with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
What is your approach to selling listings for clients? It really depends on the client

needs and the home they’re either selling or searching for. Each client is unique and the process doesn’t always fit into a box. Prepping the home for a fresh listing opportunity with a knockout presentation from the start is so important. Watching the success on how that is received in the marketplace, always feels like a win for my client.
How would you describe the current market in some of the areas that you serve? The 2020 market has surpassed everyone’s expectations with the struggles we’ve all faced. The rates are at historic lows affording home owners more than what they could obtain before and now the challenge is finding homes because inventory is low. We are lucky to be surrounded by some very beautiful areas.

What are your favorite design trends for the holidays? One of my favorite trends is the rustic woodsy look. Since farmhouse style kitchens have become popular, there has been a shift to adding rustic wood elements to create the look of years gone by. If your house is more contemporary, adding some wood will warm it up. Most family gatherings revolve around the table. What are some tablescapes that are catching your eye this year? I am seeing a lot of layered tablescapes and I love them. Create layers using a mixture of patterns with solid colored plates and glasses. Not only does it make the table more festive, but it’s a great way to pull in the colors of ornaments and ribbon that adorn the rest of the room. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and colors while keeping the look cohesive. What is a design element that you believe is essential to creating a cohesive holiday look? To create a cohesive design, it’s important not to use too many colors in your decorations and be sure that the colors work well together. Pick two or three colors and a metallic, and use those colors in the same room and an adjacent room if it’s an open floor plan. If you use multiple shades of a color count that contains one color, be sure to add different textures for variety. What fall/holiday trend should be retired? For me, a trend to be retired is what I call “clutter”. When setting up a vignette, I use the theory: less is more. I prefer a cleaner look rather than an uncluttered look as it draws more attention to the items on display.
