In 2012, he started the first U.S. company to focus its services on filling the void. The first years were spent toiling to figure out a model that could work; Architecture moves very slowly and has a lot of risk, for both clients and talent, so it was critical that it become a viable business model. In 2015, increasingly aware of how difficult it would be to win a tower or major cultural project in New York City, he relocated to Detroit which has proven to be more fertile for serve as a bridge between ambitious clients and emerging and avant-garde design talent. Through the Architecture Talent Agency, he synergizes the project brief with the architects’ profile, and thus creates a curated outcome that benefits the client, the talent and as its proven most important, the community. Between 2016 and 2017, Patrick collaborated with Philip Kafka, the founder of Prince Concepts, on discovering the Los Angeles-based architecture firm EC3 for the design of True North. Since its completion, the Quonset hut live/work community has received local, national and international attention for its unique and creative approach to urban infill design and development. EC3 recently commenced design on a second project for the developer in the neighborhood, a testament to the value of the relationship and success of the first project. “What I do is truly full service.
