How long have you been investing in real estate?
I have been investing in real estate for almost 20 years. I have bought, sold and rented properties in Georgia, Florida and even Colorado! I still have a ski condo in Breckenridge, Colorado!
Are your roots in Georgia?
Yes, I grew up in Valdosta and graduated from UGA with a degree in Political Science. I currently live in Duluth, Georgia. I’ve lived in Brookhaven, Lilburn, and Cumming on Lake Lanier as well.
Have you had any other interesting jobs in the past?
Yes! I’ve worked on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, for Georgia Senator Max Cleland. I have been a snowboard instructor in Breckenridge, Colorado and an NFL agent for three years in Atlanta! I lived a dream and had a client on the New England Patriots for a summer with Tom Brady!
What do you like to do for fun in Atlanta?
I like to drive, work on tv shows as a background extra, and hit the lakes on the jet ski if time allows! I like to travel like everyone else, hang out with friends, my girlfriend and family and I’m a big UGA fan. I made it to the 2022 football championship trifecta!
You like to drive in this traffic? Any idea to make traffic easier?
I think it would be beneficial for our political leaders to resurrect the northern arc idea from the late 20th and early 21st century. A new highway that connects highways 75/85 well north of the city would greatly reduce 18 wheeler and other traffic coming through the city using highway 285 to transition from 75/85. The northern arc idea was not successful 20 years ago because the local communities in north Georgia were opposed to it. Maybe a second time around our political leaders could incentivize the locals to accept a new highway that could alter and improve the landscape and quality of life for all citizens of the region.
You work in TV and film for fun, how did that start?
I got into show business by accident! Years ago, I was a snowboard instructor in Colorado, visiting sick family in Atlanta. I was looking for something unique and interesting to do for fun and stumbled into some very interesting pieces of film art.
What’s the most fun you’ve had working on a tv show?
Working on Ozark was the best, the entire cast and crew were just amazing. It was a unique experience in life, a masterclass in acting and directing. It was really a fabulous thing to play some small role in an iconic piece of art cinema. I have many fond memories of nights on the Missouri Belle in Stone Mountain!
Have you done anything more recently?
I got to dance in the upcoming Pain Hustlers movie. I love it when I get paid to ride a skateboard or dance! I got to play a paparazzi in an adorable movie called The Valet, it got a great review in the New York Times! Samara Weaving and Eugenio Derbaz were phenomenal, positive people to work with! I was a stand in on Lego Masters, that was super interesting. I also got to do some fun background extra work on a couple recent movies before the writers and actors strike, but I can’t talk about it due to production secrecy.
What’s been going on with the Actors and writers strike?
As of July 2023, the industry has basically shut down with the strike. AI presents a serious threat to the ability of artists and writers to make a living in the television and film industry. Studios are also using accounting maneuvers to reduce artists pay. It’s a challenging time of transition for the industry with an evolving streaming content paradigm and AI altering the business model on both sides of the table. Hopefully the artists are able to get the best deal possible from the studios to keep making original content. I was disheartened to read the recent quote from an unnamed studio executive saying they are “waiting for the artists to lose homes and apartments before returning to the negotiating table.”
Do you think the strike will affect the Atlanta market?
In the short term for sure there will be ripples and economic repercussions as people stay out of work. Please support your local artists and crew members if you can. In the long term I foresee the television and film industry continuing to shift to Atlanta due to the strong tax incentives and lower cost of living and production. This shift will continue to bring positive upward pricing trends to the Atlanta market in my opinion.
How would you describe the current real estate market otherwise? Inventory remains tighter than demand, keeping it a sellers market around the Atlanta area, in spite of higher interest rates. I wish I had a crystal ball like everyone else of course!
Tell us about your listing?
It’s a nice 3 bedroom and 2.5 half bath townhome in a centrally located part of Lawrenceville, easy access to everything on that side of town.
How much interest did your listing generate?
We got a strong offer on opening weekend with several backup offers. The seller was very pleased. When you price it right, there is potential for a multiple offer situation. When you overprice, it’s more difficult to get a buyer right out of the gate.
What is next for your seller?
My client is looking to upgrade into the next investment property and we have a full slate of 8 listings to look at this weekend!

It’s really great, my colleagues are always there to support one another. The company has the latest cutting edge software and marketing tools. I can send free valuation reports to my customers and clients thinking about buying or selling. Our finance guy Patrick Quinn, is a miracle worker when it comes to the mortgage loan approval process. It’s a great supportive team environment. We also collectively donate to the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a non profit dedicated to uplifting children with cancer through positive group activities and memorable experiences.
What’s your approach to dealing with clients?
Be a solid and clear guide. I like to help when a life change happens that necessitates a purchase or sale of real estate. My goal is to be a reliable trusted advisor who reduces the stress and uncertainty that may accompany a real estate transaction. I also offer my clients my ski condo in Breckenridge, if scheduling allows. I help clients with their Airbnb listings, my condo is on Airbnb and I am a Superhost!
Do you specialize in investors or first time home buyers?
I enjoy working with people across the spectrum, from investors to first time home buyers. Investors and second time buyers may know what due diligence and home inspections involve but most first time home buyers don’t. I am happy to help explain the basics to first timers and walk them through the process.
