Arts in the Heart of Augusta will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has a reputation as one of the best and liveliest art festivals around. This event will draw thousands to the Augusta Common and 600-900 blocks of Broad Street on September 16th-18th. This festival has live entertainment, exciting shopping opportunities, delicious food, and incredible art.
The primary appeal of Arts in the Heart of Augusta stems from the top-notch art and artists at the event. Every year features an array of local and national talent showcasing their finest recent works and offering excellent prices on quality products, and this year will be no different. It is a juried festival, so only the best works will be presented at this event.

Like all great festivals, the Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival will have numerous food and beverage options. There will be several sections of the event dedicated to different cuisine styles. The global food village will have 18 different booths offering international cuisine. The vegetarian corner accommodates a plant-based diet. There is a child-friendly section with eats that kids will love, a dessert section, and an adult beverage corner. Tickets for this exciting event can be purchased online or at the gate. If purchased online, tickets cost $12. If purchased the day of, they cost $15. VIP passes can also be purchased, including two tickets and an array of exciting perks. These passes cost $150.

Physical art isn’t the only aspect of this festival that will draw in crowds. There will also be several talented performers at the festival across multiple stages. Each stage will have a different theme. The Global Stage will have international performers; the Jazz Stage will have jazz and blues. The Soul Suite Stage will have poetry, storytelling, improv, and acoustic music. The Community Stage will have high-end local performers from Augusta and the surrounding areas. The festival has an excellent family-friendly approach, so bring the kids. There is a Family Stage, which features an array of performances geared towards younger audiences and families. There is also a children’s activity area, where the community and local organizations come together to offer exciting hands-on activities that keep the kids engaged. An area of the market will be dedicated to the work of young artists as well.
