Born in Charlotte in 1958, Lisa’s native roots run deep in this area with both Charlottean grandparents and parents. After graduating St. Mary’s College in Raleigh, NC, Lisa began her career with Townsend Realty where her mother was a Realtor. Her special assignment for Townsend was to pick up clients at the airport who were planning to move here to work at IBM and Celanese Corporation. By giving these newcomers an introductory tour of the Charlotte region within a 100-mile radius, she provided them seeing a choice of residences in a variety of neighborhoods along with many of Charlotte’s amenities. At the end of the tour, she would turn over these clients to a Realtor and indicate their preference of where they preferred to live. This benefited the Realtor and taught Lisa early in her career how to work with all types of individuals and couples who were moving to Charlotte.
