Cleveland Boat Show Along the shores of Lake Erie, you’ll find Cleveland, one of Ohio’s major metropolitan areas. Cleveland is a cultural hub, home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with numerous public green spaces that make it a walkable and fun city. The Cleveland waterfront is a big attraction, and on a warm Ohio summer day, you’ll spot numerous boats speeding across the Erie waters. An event that is celebrating the waterfront spirit of Cleveland, and the boat faring population of Ohio, will be the 2022 Cleveland Boat Show. Taking place from January 13th-17th at the IX Center in Cleveland, this is the latest

iteration of Ohio’s largest boat show, which has been running for 65 years. While January is hardly peak boating season in Ohio, the boat show is when it is time to start looking ahead to better, brighter days. This event will display a huge amount of vessels created by many of the biggest names in the boating industry and will be a major day for shopping for new boats, fishing equipment, watersport gear, and much more. It’ll also be a family-friendly, educational experience. There will be seminars and guest speakers, illuminating


attendees on topics such as “Boating in the Lake Erie Islands.” There will be shows, such as a performance from Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel, and interactive, familyoriented activities. Cleveland offers Ohioans a great place to live, but Ohio is a major state, with the 7th biggest population in the country. That means Cleveland is far from the only option for those seeking a place to settle in Ohio. Let’s look at some other lovely Ohio towns and cities that make for great places to put down roots.

Towns with a Great Ohio Lifestyle Ohio is a big Midwestern state with a long industrial history. It is an all-American state with major agricultural production, a deeply entrenched love for football, and hotspots like Cedar Point and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It has big cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus and small towns like Waterville and Tipp City. From northern Ohio towns and cities like Toledo and Perrysburg to southern Ohio communities like Loveland, Indian Hill, and Marietta, the state is filled with bustling and distinctive towns that make for quaint and peaceful places to make a home. Many towns in Ohio are worth exploring, such as Broadview Heights, Delaware, and Granville. Broadview Heights is a small suburb in the Cleveland area, home to roughly 20,000 residents. It is known as one of the safest towns in Ohio and

the nation. It is a tranquil place, community-oriented with lots of family-friendly events and good schools. In Delaware, you’ll find a mid-sized city of 40,000 just outside Columbus. Delaware was recently named one of the 50 best places to live in America according to Money magazine, and the quaint streets and lovely shops are a big reason why. Granville is a rural community in the hilly central Ohio area, home to just under 6,000. It has a distinct New England feel with stylish buildings and lots of greenery. Milan, New Albany, and Hudson are other communities that offer pleasant small town-mid-sized city lifestyles. Milan is a small village not far from the shores of Erie and Cleveland. With a population of under 2,000, it is a quiet place. However, it attracts many tourists due to its historical significance as the birthplace of business magnate Thomas Edison. It is a scenic and picturesque little town. New Albany is a little city of under 11,000, a short drive from Columbus. New Albany is a wealthy suburb with a high median income, and it is home to many young professionals and families. It has a top-ranked school district and is often featured in articles touting it as one of America’s great small towns. Hudson is a mid-sized suburb of just over 22,000 outside of Akron. It is a peaceful little place with tons of parks, hiking trails, and outdoor spaces. It is a green city that is beautiful to watch transform in the fall, and it is one of the safest towns in Ohio. Lastly, there’s Chagrin Falls and Medina. Chagrin Falls is a village with a population of just over 4,000 in the Northeast Ohio region near Cleveland and Akron. The town was built around the Chagrin River and the Chagrin waterfall, which can be viewed from a bridge near the town’s main area. It is a pretty town with boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants. Medina is another Northeast Ohio town. It is home to just under 30,000 residents and is a popular place to live because of its old-time feel. It has a Victorian architecture style and a picturesque town square, making it a classically pleasant smalltown that is great for families.
