Kennywood is Pittsburgh’s historical theme park, which has been in operation for more than 100 years, and typically reopens its gates between April and May.

Real Estate Affordability
Even though spring is such an exciting time to be in the city, home prices are affordable throughout the year. Real estate prices typically rise across the country come spring, as buyers tend to wait out the winter months. But Pittsburgh prices seem to be declining, making this spring an ideal time to enter the buyer’s market.
According to Redfin, in June of 2022, Pittsburgh real estate prices peaked with a median sale price of around $265,500. While this is still significantly lower than prices across the country, that number has declined to $215,500 in the winter of 2023. With prices low and spring on the horizon, there is no better time to consider a home purchase in Pittsburgh.
