Anh T. Son, how did you get your start in the real estate industry? I started out before technology took over and became a public platform. I’ve seen this industry in its early stages and I hustled the old-fashioned way - I had to figure out my network without having any. Being the oldest in a first generation of an immigrated family to Canada, I had no extended families to turn to. I started out when I was 24—all of my friends were still young and focused on partying. They didn’t have real estate investment goals in their near future. I was one of the first agents to take advantage of Facebook and Instagram as marketing platforms.

The older realtors didn’t really understand the technology, and there were only a few realtors in their early 20s. With zero marketing skills and little understanding of how social media worked, I just went with my initial basic instinct. I focused on what cost the least and began to add friends and friends of friends to my social media accounts. Then, I went onto Instagram and thought about what I would type if I was looking for a Real Estate agent. I grabbed the first local real estate name I could think of—that’s when @bcrealestateagent came to life. While everyone else was inputting their own names, I went for a more universal name that could easily be stumbled upon. After that, social media evolved and became my main tool for all my marketing. What would you say sets your team apart from other agents? We are known for our versatility, finesse skills, and progressiveness. We like to draw upon each person’s specific expertise and use it as a tool to help assist our clientele further. We are quick on our hands and feet, and proud to have the skills to turn any obstacles into a smooth transition. Our team is talented and always looking to evolve by watching not only the market, but taking notes from public demands, and keeping a tight lid on technology. Instead of fighting against change, we embrace it and use it to our advantage.

What’s your team’s biggest success to date? We are a new team that is looking to offer a new level of professionalism to the Real Estate industry. We don’t want to be a celebrity team that’s just known for BRENT STOKES our brand and our faces, but we want to be remembered for our talent and undivided loyalty to our clients no matter where they come from. It’s important to do as much research and learn as much about the home as possible, since most luxury listings have unique features that are ingrained into every JANEL MAHADEO little detail. Whether

it’s tile or stones used for the floors, the type of wood used for the beams and structure, as well as the placement of every fixture and room functionality. Our team is hands-on for staging and involved in the staging process by bringing in consultants for advice on how to make the home stand out. A home has a story to tell, and it is our job to tell it.
