Thanks to those of you that could make the meeting on 6th August. Please see update below on the discussions. Apologies for the delay in sharing these with you.

The plans have been sent to the BUilding Safety Regulator (BSR). These will need to be approved by them and we are waiting for their response

We don’t have a timeframe from BSR yet, but will hope to provide an update to residents at the next meeting

Hoarding

Antisocial behaviour in Church premises

Wates will review the whole site, following report that it was falling apart in some areas

The Homeless Team have visited the rough sleepers and given advice to them. However, they do not have to accept the help available.

Cottons Park

Part of the Section 106 contribution from the joint venture partnership includes improvements to Cottons Park, given the shortfall in designing the children's play space.

This is currently underway

Please report any drug taking to the Police

The contribution will be made once the works start on site. Any problems, please contact the parks team or your ward councillors

Community garden

The security team are still visiting the site during the weekend and early hours every day, with a full report provided to Paul Dwyer following every visit

Wates are looking at the positioning of the camera facing the business parking at Cotleigh Road

Cotleigh road parking - Ward councillors are looking into this, and will speak to the Cabinet Lead for Environment

Church Hall parking - The council have prepared drawings for the provision of 5 parking spaces on the land next to the community garden.

There haven’t been any significant issues reported

These spaces are for the sole use of the Church parishioners and a temporary planning application will be submitted by the end of Sept 24.

Wates will speak to their Social Value team about arranging a date to organise a one-off clear-up for the garden, following it’s temporary closure due to the church fire. TPG will be spending two days this month completing this work

Temporary accommodation

Plans for the temporary accommodation units are moving forward, with designs, layouts and landscaping being reviewed.
