Spring 2017

Registration Opens April 24, 2017

These final days often create some of the most lasting memories of each school year. It is a time of goodbyes and new beginnings all at once. At Havre High School there are students eagerly anticipating their final walk across the stage at Havre High and another group of students in the audience looking forward to writing 2018 on the windows of their vehicles. The events and activities of spring stir up a wonderful mixture of emotions in our district. This spring we will have a trustee election for three seats on the Havre Board of Trustees. Incumbent Trustees Cindy Erickson, Tim Scheele and Dr. Curtis Smeby are running to retain their school board seats as well as newcomer Keshia Fegan. I want to thank all four of these individuals for running for the school board. It is a volunteer position that at times can be very trying and quite difficult. Our public schools rely greatly on trustees and collectively they form the largest governing body in our state. Voting will take place in the Sunnyside gym on Tuesday May 2nd. If there are any service groups or organizations that would like to hear about what is happening in Havre Public Schools, I would greatly welcome the opportunity to share our story. Please contact me at the Robins Administration Building 395-8550 to set up a time and place. Remember to ask a child how they feel about school.
