Hawaiʻi Pacific University Alumni to Speak

Raymond P. Vara, Jr Ray serves as President & CEO of Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, an integrated healthcare system consisting of Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Medical Center, Wilcox Medical Center on Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi Pacific Health Medical Group and over 70 locations. Vara holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and an MBA from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

Gail Lerch Gail served as a key executive at Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, one of the state’s largest employees and a leader in healthcare on the local and national front for more than 30 years. While serving as Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness and General Services, she provided Senior Leadership for Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Training and Development, Workers Compensation, Internal Communications, and more. She holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Purdue University and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Hawaiʻi Pacific University.
