About The Cover Ruth Morley, was a beloved member of our association. At age 56, she passed away on April 29, 2013. Born in Miami FL, on September 7, 1957 to Ann Francis Roberts Morley and (U.S Marine Corps. Colonel) Richard James Morley she graduated from Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL with a BS in Computer Science and spent her career as an IT Analyst. Most recently she established a giclee business to continue the artistic legacy of her much admired mother, the well known artist “Frantic Ann”. Her happiest times were spent on the water whether sailing competitively on Mobile Bay or cruising along with her beloved friends. Her grace, talent and artistic flair were reflective in her home and garden where she had a gift for creating warm and beautiful spaces. She also had a passion for animals and over the years opened her heart and her home providing a loving refuge to many rescue dogs, including River, her most recent companion. Ruth was representing her mother’s artwork, known under the name of Ann Frantic. It is with great sadness that we say good bye to Ruth in this special edition of A Unique Art Gallery’s semi annual publication. Our deepest condolences go to Ruth’s family. During her time at the gallery, Ruth had been a wonderful person to work with, an enthusiast and supportive friends to many of us at the gallery and a great advocate of helping promote the local art and emerging artists. She will be sadly missed...

From Our Director Hello everyone! The New Year has brought A UNIQUE ART GALLERY and the Artists Association of Jupiter many exciting changes. We have said goodbye to our former director Susan Lorenti, who is now at Original Elements in Tequesta, Florida. I am looking forward to a bright and productive future as your Director. We have already signed on two new artists, Bill Hults and Sharon Doyle, and are very happy to welcome back Talia Cervetti. In celebration of the occasion, we are having an Artist’s Reception on Wednesday February 13, 2013 appropriately named, A TRILOGY OF ARTISTS from 5:30-7:30PM. January started off with a bang! Our “Arty Party”, hosted by Richard Kendall (Photographer), raised enough in non-perishable items and funds to feed forty needy Florida families for the Lutheran Charity Food Bank of Lake Worth, Florida. We have many spectacular events planned for every month of 2013 and hope see you here, at A Unique Art Gallery! I know that 2013 is going to be our best year ever!

Brigitte Balbinot
B
rigitte Balbinot, Artist, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. As a child, she has traveled extensively with her family to various places in Europe and Asia and even lived in Africa. These childhood experiences have contributed to define the work that you see today.
“When beginning a new painting, I try to let go of the intellectual side and the ego, the part of us that allows for judgment and egotistic behaviors, and channel the inspiration that may be brought by humanity in its organized as well as in its chaotic state. Art to me is a link that connects each and every one of us.” Balbinot’s paintings are large scale contemporary abstracts. It may take several weeks and sometimes months for a painting to be completed. She favors the use of oil paints, resins, waxes and alkyds as to speed up the long process of drying.
“I AM... therefore I PAINT! With an unquenched thirst for knowledge and understanding of the world around me, the canvas is my playground.”
“I know my work is done when after several passes I can look at it and feel that it needs nothing more from me to be alive.”

W
hile my roots are in oil painting, I’m a contemporary artist. Along the way I added photography, became a psychotherapist, evolved into a photo-therapist and now am deep into my recent discovery, digital painting; a discovery that has allowed me to combine many of the different mediums that I love. I developed and implemented a phototherapy program in the school system working with at-risk kids and became passionate about getting their amazing work displayed. Much of the time when I begin a painting I don’t have a completed idea. Color speaks the loudest for me and I let it take the lead until some sense of design emerges and then the relationship between the elements begins to form. It’s then that the story in me takes over. I’m an explorer and love to travel: in the world, in my inner scapes, and through my art.
As in my life, so in my art, things appear; a wee bit strange, vibrant, magical and definitely divine, with lots of rough prickly edges to add rich texture. I have shown my work and been recognized by prominent jurors in many South Florida galleries.
Talia Cervetti
T
alia Cervetti received her BFA from California College of the Arts with a focus on painting/drawing and textiles. She is a graduate from Dreyfoos High School of the Arts and currently resides in south Florida. Exhibiting her work throughout the Bay Area and South Florida, she is also an instructor at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach.
Audrey Claire Correra
A
udrey Claire Corerra, a native of New England, has traveled the world pursuing her interests in painting and photography. She is self-taught, and one of her passions is painting animals. She enjoys the company of her son’s dog, Charlie (a Portuguese water dog that is afraid of water!) and has also recently been commissioned to do portraits of dogs for other pet lovers such as herself. In 2009, she relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and continues to paint in oils and pastels.
Sharon Doyle
S
haron Doyle was born in Washington, DC in 1955. She has had a drawing pencil in her hand since a very young age and in 2009 turned her passion for painting into a profession. Studying privately under Hugh O’Neill and Morgan Samuel Price, Sharon’s use of thick and thin paints to create texture & volume makes you want to just reach out and touch her trees, boats and flowers. Emphasizing the play of light and shadow and placing one spot of color next to another turns her simple compositions into peaceful reflections. Sharon is working on re-painting the Last Flowers of Manet, a series of 16 florals he painted during the last few months of his life. She hopes to offer them in a one-person show in April of 2014. In the meantime, enjoy Sharon’s favorite subjects of sun & sand, boats in full sail, and tranquil landscapes.
Lynzie Kronheim
L
ynzie Kronheim utilizes over 20 years as a Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Healer, Life & Grief Coach, and Art Teacher applying her skills as a Teacher and Painter. She has spent years teaching spiritual, creative classes to all walks of life, babies, teens, couples, elders including large groups. Self expression though painting nature plain-air inspires energy, light and color. Each painting presses me to see how I will interpret each moment of light.
Dawn Langstroth
D
awn Langstroth has made a career as a creative artist writing songs, painting, and making drawings that are as much emerging portraits of a forthright and independent identity as they are lyrics and pictures. As a painter, she takes the world she knows best – her friends, family, and the familiar landscapes of home – and interprets it in a direct manner letting line and colour convey her quizzical nature and probing sensibility. An artist adept in several expressive modes, Dawn Langstroth tells us in words, songs and pictures what it means to embrace life fully and creatively, letting randomness and creative curiosity open doors and pathways on the wondrous journey of becoming ourselves.
“... unlike Colville and Pratt who have taken their paintings to the extremes of starkness and coldness, you fill yours with warmth and comfort. In your paintings, straight lines of buildings, doors have the waviness of a comfy duvet, old upholstered armchair, or an old rumpled wool sweater.” Mary Mouzar, Hunts Point, Nova Scotia
During A solo exhibition in April at A Unique Art Gallery, Dawn introduced her work to our local community with great success. The exhibition benefit went to Hannah’s Home of South Florida; a safe and loving environment for single pregnant young women.
Pam Panella “I choose to paint a variety of different subjects from places to which we have traveled or subjects close to home When I spot something that strikes my fancy, it will end up on paper. I use watercolors most of the time because they are spontaneous, transparent and can be used in many different techniques. Careful attention is given to the compositions and an intricate process of drawing precedes the use of colol. Most of my exhibits have been in various galleries, corporate offices and outdoor shows in the Northeast and Florida. Summers are spent in my North Eastham Studio and Winters are spent in Florida.
Raymonde Tolleyrand “I believe that I was born an artist, because of my interest in designs and color at an early age. My hope is to be a messenger of beauty to the viewer. This is my motivation. I value beauty in nature, photographs and people. I like interesting shades of light and shadows. Expressing them on my canvas gives me a lot of joy.
Richard Kendall
R
ichard Kendall is a freelance digital photographer living in Jupiter, Florida. Richard grew up in Maine where he always had a great appreciation of nature and its unpredicatable beauty.

Richard has always had a passion for photography and tries to capture a moment of nature’s beauty, the uniqueness of architecture, and images that capture the essence of human behavior. His work elicits and emotional response within the viewer.
Bill Hults
I
was born in Philadelphia, grew up on Long Island and spent most of my adult life in Vermont before moving to Florida in 2003. I have been spending summers in the mountains of North Carolina since 2009 because of its pleasant weather and its fabulous photo opportunities.
“I have been taking pictures most of my life. I was mostly a casual photographer taking vacation photos and the like until my first trip to North Carolina. On that trip I discovered the hundreds of waterfalls around the western part of the state and the wonderful scenery of the Blue Ridge Parkway. These places inspired me to become more serious about taking photographs. Since that time I have taken thousands of pictures of anything that I think has something to give to the viewer.
Bill Jones
B
ill Jones is a local woodturner with a workshop in Jupiter. He is an active member of the Palm Beach County Woodturners, a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. He spends his time teaching at adult education classes, 4H youth classes, and creating a limited number of turnings to show at various exhibitions and galleries.
“Every piece he turns is made with not only a love of the wood, but also the delight in the craftsmanship of taking a log to a finished and unique artistic object.

The Artists Association of Jupiter welcomes artists to join our Association and Gallery. The collection consists of a maximum of 30 artists who offer artwork in a variety of mediums. As an alternative to temporary art shows, we are open five days per week, all year long and we have rotating artists in residence during those days. Our artists are able to send clients to their gallery while they are out of town knowing their artwork is well presented. We do not charge sales commissions as all proceeds go directly to the artists. The Gallery requires a yearly membership and a monthly rental fee. You can start by downloading our membership brochure or contact us with further questions.
Workshops Our Association is proud to offer regular workshops given by several of our artists
