Cover Letter My name is Hayley green, I am a 21 year old Fashion image & communication student and studying my degree at the Arts University Bournemouth. Having studied fashion for two years at college, and three years at university, i have always been extremely passionate regarding the subject and the industry. Since I was sixteen years old I have worked in various different fields such as retail, display and graphic design. This experience has provided me with a broad skill-set which will assist me when learning how to complete tasks in a new job role, additionally, it conveys my ability to perform competently in different industries. Specialising in image & communication at university, styling was a key aspect of my degree. As most of my units would include styling for photo-shoots or fashion film, this is a useful skill i can apply to the job role. From studying fashion, i am constantly up to date and aware of current and upcoming trends and the consumer’s most sought after pieces. My previous work in retail has taught me how to be confident, friendly and work well within a team as well as on independent projects. Working in this field has also given me a more in depth understanding of how to place popular products on display and align pieces to certain trends in order to entice consumers. This will help to promote multiple purchases and also assist the customer with finding clothing that will compliment their other items. During my employment at Avon Displays I have adopted the ability to dress displays, communicate with clients in order to meet their specifications and how to accurately follow briefs to create designs for exhibitions and displays. I believe i would make a great asset you team as I love to work hard, get results and have fun in the process. Introduction Education. I am a Fashion Image and Communicator student who studied at the Arts University of Bournemouth. Finishing secondary school with 10 GCSE’s, I went on to study Fashion at college for extended diploma level 3. I finished my diploma with triple distinction and got a place to study fashion image and communication at the Arts University Bournemouth.

Previous Employment. I have worked in various different fields such as retail, display and graphic design. I was also head of graphics and branding at Naked Coffee Bournemouth. I learned how to use my skills I had learned at uni (adobe software) for graphic design. I was able to create the brands packaging, menus, uniform, banners and brand their companies vehicle moving store.

expands fashion publication market to LGBT community. Fashion image and communication student, Hayley Green creates fashion publication Iconic. Magazine to give the opportunity for members of the LGBT community to engage and contribute to a magazine they can completely relate to and allow the community to become part of the mainstream publication market. As well as mainly being within the LGBT community, the publication is targeted to those of light humour and those who also have a large understanding of equality and acceptance, ages from 18-35 are of those who this publication will be targeted towards, along with mainly being focused on people part of LGBT and those who are intrigued in the matter. Iconic. Magazine is created with LGBT people at the forefront. Models in shoots will be those of the LGBT community, along with articles on different personal experiences and stories, LGBT influencers and celebrities and community issues and news. With such a niche concept and strong brand essence, iconic magazine will only issue biannually, this is due to content creation, limited market and also to make the publication as special as it is to the consumers Due to the bi-annual releases of the publication. Along with the publication, Hayley has also created a website which allows users to post and reply to content on different peoples personal stories within the LGBT community and create a base to allow each other to be heard. The site also includes videos, shoots and articles of current LGBT topics and news and aims to encourage positivity for the community and allow them to have a personal input into the brand. Hayley’s Publication and website will be introduced June 2018 at Graduate Fashion Week, held at the Old Truman Brewery.
