This is Harold.
He’s a lover of food. He says there’s nothing he hasn’t chewed.
Baked, smoked, grilled or fried...
Wait! There is something he hasn’t tried!
“I know what I have not munched on yet:
B
the entire foody alphabet!
So hungry Harold ate for tea, the alphabet from A-Z.
First an apple,
crunchy and red.
Then some beans on toasted bread.
Cookies and doughnuts were next on his list...
Eggy soldiers
he couldn’t resist!
Fish fingers followed, eight he did eat!
Then gingerbread men for something sweet.
Hamburgers and hotdogs he did adore!
Harold wasn’t full though...
He still
wanted more!
Next he ate ice cream served in a bowl.
Followed by a jelly, which Harold ate whole!
A kiwi with skin
furry and brown,
and a glass
of lemonade
to wash it all down.
He shoved some marshmellows into his gob.
He was getting so round he looked like a blob!
For 'N’ he ate noodles
straight out of the box.
Then some soup with tail of ox.
Delicious pancakes
with syrup so sticky, and a quiche,
which Harold found icky!
Raspberries and strawberries
baked into a tart,
and something
called uglifruit that made
Harold fart!
Next he ate venison: his favourite meat,
and a tower of waffles he deserved a treat.
He had no food for
X
so he ate yoghurt times two.
He was ready to pop,
but it just
wouldn’t do!
He said,
“I’ll have just one slice of this zebra cake...”
But one slice was too much
for his stomach to take!
It gurgled
and groaned and let out a ROAR!
So Harold ran for the bathroom door...
But unfortunately
he couldn’t fit anymore,
so Harold was sick all over the floor.
“Perhaps eating
the alphabet wasn’t my best plan. I’ll try to be healthy now.
I’ll try the best I can.”
With this
Harold’s stomach
was on the mend. He lived happily
ever after, that’s it,
THE END.
Hungry Harold loves food and believes he has tried it all, but when he realises he has not eaten the alphabet he has to give it a go. A humorous rhyming storybook about Harold trying to eat the alphabet, and facing the consequences in the end!
