A strong, livable neighborhood should be available to all in our society. That is why the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA) established the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF). Started in 2002 and relaunched in 2018, your foundation is pleased to announce that it donated more than $100,000 to local non-profits in 2022.
One of the priorities of your HBCF is promoting education related to the construction industry, such as scholarships and special projects. Of the 21 organizations your HBCF supported last year, nine were KC-area schools preparing students for careers in residential construction:
• Basehor-Linwood High School • Bonner Springs High School • Johnson County Community College • Liberty High School • Olathe Advanced Technical Center • Olathe West High School • Paola High School • Pittsburg State University • Turner High School
Other organizations in the Kansas City area that the HBCF supported with donations include:
• CASA Jackson County • Community Housing of Wyandotte Co. • Della Lamb • Determination, Inc. • Friends of Johnson County Developmental Services • Hope House • Hillcrest Platte County • Hope Haven of Cass County • JDRF • Rebuilding Together Kansas City • reStart • Science City at Union Station
Thank you to KCHBA members who donated to the Home Builders Charitable Foundation.
