What are your thoughts about HBK’s Mentorship Program?
The HBK mentorship program is beneficial, especially for career development and networking.
How do you believe mentorship contributes to personal and professional growth?
In my current role, I serve as a mentor rather than a mentee, and I have found that I gain even more from being a mentor than being a mentee. In addition to striving for my own success, I now have another individual or individuals whose success I am invested in. This sense of responsibility and commitment to their progression not only benefits them but also reinforces my own growth and development.
How do you see the mentorship program evolving over time, and what would you like to see more of in future cohorts?
I think it would be helpful to have a mentor-mentee structure that supports the mentee at the right level. For younger mentees, the focus should be on more technical support, while as they grow, the emphasis should shift to developing client relationships and business development skills.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone starting a mentorship relationship?
It is important not to simply go through the motions or participate out of obligation. When you find a mentor or mentee with whom you have a strong connection, invest in that relationship. Rely on it as a foundation for professional growth and development.
If you had a choice of being mentored by anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Elon Musk if for no other reason than to see how he manages his time. I am fascinated by how he manages to balance so many high-profile ventures at once. I would love to follow him around for a week and see how he does it.
