Welcome to HCA key club's August newsletter! thank you for taking the time to read this issue.
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
I hope everyone had an amazing summer and fixed their sleeping schedules already (I'm struggling). Now that we get to interact in person, I'm excited to work with each and every one of you guys for the rest of the term. We're looking to have our first general meeting on the 23rd of this month so please watch out for more information coming!

VP'S NOTE
hello everyone!
I hope you are all adjusting well to the new school year. Please enjoy our newsletter that will be highlighting past events, upcoming events, and recognition. What are you looking forward for the new school year? For me, I’m excited to have a fun senior year and raise involvement in Key Club at our school. Once again, I hope you enjoy this newsletter and please contact me if you have any questions or just want to make a new friend!

At the officer training conference, I met new people from division 27 north and south. My partner Cassie Nguyen for the editor’s workshop was super prepared and together we had an amazing presentation. All the people watching the presentation were very involved, took notes, and participated in the games. In July DCM, we listened to upcoming events, went over past events, and recognized Key Club members. One of HCA’s officers Kathleen received Officer of the Month. After this I went to DLT bonding where I met a lot of the DLT for the first time. All in all, OTC and the July DCM went well and was an event where people learned a lot and had fun.
07 | PAST EVENTS
National Night Out was a volunteering opportunity offered to D27 members and officers to help out with the booths during the event. There were 3 different shifts available for everyone. Shift 1 was from 3-5, Shift 2 was from 5-7, and Shift 3 was from 7-8:30. There were multiple booths, one of them being the Kiwanis booth, and foods were also sold. There was also a band playing and other fun activities such as face painting. It was a fun service event and I got to meet fellow D27N officers and other members from D27S!
