Join us as we learn from our non-profit peers how they keep their donors close and connected to their missions in this time when in-person engagement is not feasible. Caroline Witherspoon, of Becker Communications, and Erin Kinney, of Punahou School, will share examples and ideas that may help us as we embrace new ways of cultivating and stewarding our constituents and donors. After the presentation, you are welcome to remain on the call and talk story with the members of the Hawaii Gift Planning Council as well as your peers. Caroline Witherspoon

Erin Kinney Associate Director of Alumni Relations Punahou School

President, Becker Communications, Inc. As President of Becker Communications, Inc., Caroline Witherspoon is also a partner in the agency. She first joined the agency as an intern more than 28 years ago. Today, she oversees the agency’s PR, digital and marketing teams, ensuring creativity and effective results are instilled in each team member’s work. She also manages a number of client accounts, including several nonprofits like Navian Hawaii, Catholic Charities Hawaii, Hawaii Foodbank, and Waikiki Aquarium, among others. Caroline is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of directors for the Alzheimer’s Association-Aloha Chapter, Mothers Against Drunk Driving-Hawaii Chapter (MADD) and Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum. She is also on the Board of Governors of The Pacific Club, where she also serves as chair of the Entertainment Committee.

Erin Kinney is the associate director of alumni relations at Punahou School. In her role, Erin utilizes strategic, integrated communications to connect and engage Punahou’s 30,000+ alumni worldwide to each other and the School. Prior to Punahou, Erin led marketing efforts for Kamehameha Schools’ Our Kaka‘ako redevelopment and produced daily newscasts and special news coverage at KITV as executive news producer. Erin is a graduate of the University of Oregon, with a B.A. in Journalism.
