8TH ANNUAL HAWAII ACTEC FELLOWS PLANNING CONFERENCE LUNCH
WHAT’S IT WORTH? Do you have a little bit of history lying around the house? Whether you are a serious collector or a passionate amateur, now is the time to find out the value of your treasures. On August 10, 2018, Bonhams Auctioneers will host a luncheon where Director of Trusts and Estates, Leslie Wright, will answer questions about your collectibles, such as jewelry, Asian art, Oceanic art, books & manuscripts, or the like. In order to participate, you must RSVP for lunch on the main registration form. Please submit a photograph and description of your item to Randall Yee via email by Friday, July 13, 2018. Some of you will be asked to bring your item to the lunch to share. If your item is not selected, you will nonetheless be given an appraisal that day.
Leslie Wright is the Vice President and Director of the Trusts & Estates Department for Bonhams North America. In addition, she is the Managing Director of Bonhams’ Los Angeles office. Ms. Wright has worked with professional advisors for the last 20 years, assisting them with estate tax appraisals and the disposition of personal tangible property. She also serves as chief liaison between the company and the estate planning community. She frequently lectures before organizations, and has lectured on a variety of estate planning topics at seminars sponsored by ACTEC, the American Bar Association, Hawaii Tax Institute, the State Bar of California, STEP, as well as local estate planning councils throughout California. Ms. Wright has also been published in The Estate Anayst. During her tenure, Ms. Wright managed the appraisal of personal property from the Estate of Michael Jackson. She has also been involved in securing property from numerous estates and collections, including The Silverman Museum Collection and multiple Estates from the Doheny Family. Ms. Wright holds a BA in History from the University of California at Berkeley.
