in Honolulu, the World Conservation Congress reported that 87% of Hawai'i's native plants are threatened with extinction due to the threats posed by invasive plants and animals. While the news made headlines across the state, the folks who established the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge Management Endowment were already painfully aware of these facts.
