Sotogrande shines and enjoys ‘overbooking’

• Residential and hotel establishments have surpassed forecasts, bookings and occupancy on the key days of summer in the resort.

Packed terraces, no vacancies and a unique movement of people and cars through the streets of the Marina, old port and resort as seen on few occasions in Sotogrande. “There is nowhere to park, and not for a lack of spaces, Sotogrande is full” can be heard on almost every corner. And how do you want it to be during the key days of the month of August?

Sotogrande is looking and shining almost better than ever in its summer version. The first-rate hotel establishments (SO/ Sotogrande, Hotel Encinar, Mim Sotogrande, etc.); have bookings full and an occupancy level of over 90% and in many of them they are even full to 100% during the most important stretches of August and during weekends.

The other residential, hotel, and rental establishments, have been full for weeks almost with very high records and figures that are over the percentages of 2019, before the start of the pandemic.

With regard to commercial and sporting activity, the records are even higher over recent weeks, with a multitude of musical events, golf tournaments, and large gatherings of crowds at the most attractive days of the International Polo Tournament.

And also in the restaurant sector which has also recorded one of the summers with the greatest turnover in memory. Sotogrande is going through one of the most fruitful periods of recent times, let’s see if it is prolonged once August ends.
