I’d love to share that a Glow Up comes without pushing past your fears, but it doesn't. The Glow Up doesn’t happen because you spoke it, but it happens when you believe it and act on it. Every little action from an evening walk to listening to a motivational message once a day all can be the catalyst to your Glow Up. How to have a Fearless Glow Up starts with first breaking out of the norm. Yes, mess up those daily rituals you always do and don’t even realize. Account for your day and see what you are doing that can be bad for your physical or mental health. Take inventory and build a new routine.

Next, revamp an area in your home or room. No matter if you live on your own or in an apartment, revamp one area by rearranging the area, praying over the atmosphere , and adding something small like a little plant or a dry erase board. Revamping your environment can lead to a major spark of inspiration.
DO SOMETHING NEW JUST FOR YOU! Plan something fun. The next time you are free, plan a day for a walk around downtown, go on a bike ride, a walk through a park or to your nearest pool. Planning something fun for yourself , and challenging yourself to get out of the norm of your routine, and can really cause you to overstep fear and embrace the beauty of life. Do something fun and new just for you!

Have you ever heard sayings like, “You shouldn’t have a lot since you are a Chrisitian'' or “Don’t think of money, you should be content”? Well, many believers have this mindset that you shouldn’t aspire to be financially free to be a Christian. Many laugh about the idea of being well-off or living in their dream home. The first key to breaking free from this pattern is surrounding yourself with people who think unlimitedly . We serve a God of more than enough. He is El Shaddai, which means “more than enough” . We have a God that wants to give us more, and we must get into a place where our mindset of more is all around us.

Clearly you reading this article means you have a few goals deep in your heart , but now it’s time to break them into short-term goals and long term goals. Short term goals are your daily and weekly goals, and long term are your yearly goals. Deciding to separate your goal into smaller steps can really help you achieve them and help you feel more confident in yourself. In the “Sis, Get Focused” book, Brittany uses the acronym TIPS for planning her goals. TIPS stand for T ime Management, I ntentionality, P atience, and S trategic Planning. When going for your goals, you want to be organized because it could make or break your one shot.

Starting with planning out your days and writing everything down, cleaning your environment and utilizing the word ”no” are great ways to stay organized and stay focused. Lastly, your self-motivation will help you overcome any obstacles when you decide to just be consistent and keep yourself motivated and encouraged throughout your day.

Great ways to encourage yourself are by listening to podcasts, creating to-do lists, and doing one thing on it at a time, completing your laundry, twenty minutes of exercise or a walk, reading a new book, or anything that will make you feel better. Even as a believer and ministry founder I can get lost. I’ve learned that all these years of ministry, from the leader to the new believer, we all fear that we aren’t good enough for God. We didn’t pray enough, or read enough, we didn’t serve enough, or even love enough. When in reality with all these crazy religious acts we can feel heavy when Jesus says “His burden is light” (matt. 11:30). That means all this we are carrying or trying to measure up to has nothing to do with God loving us more, but everything to do with, are we approved by man?

Finding God again is when you push past the fear of man . Fear of the people who will judge you, push past the crowd of eyes on you and step into your rightful position... on your knees . Recently at a church service, I wanted to be before the altar on my knees, but fear set in. “What if they think I did something wrong?” “What if they think I’m not a great leader?” All the fear of man was so loud, but my spirit knew what to do. I bowed at the altar, finally getting past the fear of man and my breakthrough met me there. Before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face and the spirit of God took over in that place. On the other side of my fear was my breakthrough .
I pray every daughter of God gets past the fears of your parents, your cousins, your siblings, boyfriends, friends, and everyone that you allow to hold you back from being your true self in God. The next time you feel fear trying to hold you back, decide to step forward in faith and get into the position God is calling you to. Remember God's burden is light and there is nothing more or less you can do to make Him love you! He just does! Find God Again on the other side of your Fear!
