ASHLEY BELOTE is the illustrator of Frankenslime and Valenslime (Feiwel & Friends, 2021). She is the author-illustrator of her solo debut early reader The Me Tree (Penguin Workshop, 2021) and her solo debut picture book Listen Up, Louella (Feiwel & Friends, 2022). She studied traditional animation under the direction of Don Bluth and earned her BA from Alderson Broaddus University and her MA in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky. Her graduate study included a children’s literature and illustration course, through Simmons College at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. She also serves as the Illustrator Coordinator for the Carolinas chapter of SCBWI.
KELSEY N. CLARK resides in small town West Virginia with her family on their farm. Kelsey is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist but enjoys mostly the blessings of being a mom. Award winning author, KARL STEWART, was raised in the hills of post-WWII West Virginia, and moved to Wisconsin in his teen years, attending a Catholic seminary. Upon leaving the seminary, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966, serving as a communications sergeant in the elite Green Beret Special Forces until 1969. He enrolled in the University of Wisconsin, earning a double-major degree in political science and history. In 2005 Stewart retired from teaching high school Social Studies and English to devote himself to his two passions, family and writing, echoing his West Virginia childhood playgrounds.
As a native of Minnesota, CALVIN B. FISHER learned to spend long winters tearing through pages and pages of novels. His desire to write for an audience bloomed early; as a child, he sold stacks of homemade comic books to family and neighbors.
