MAXI At last! A way to keep long locks luscious and banish split ends

The updo manages to be cute and sexy at the same time. It’s not too ‘done’ so is easy to replicate at home 1. Blow-dry your fringe with a round bristle brush.

2. Section your hair from the crown to your ears on both sides, then backcomb the roots to add height.

3. Brush smooth the length of the hair, then twist into a bun at the crown.

4. Leave the ends out of the bun and rub to add texture then secure with long pins.

James Busby from the Headmasters Pro Session Team advises, “If you have a long or oval face, part your hair at the side. This will add fullness to your face. If you have a square or round face, part in the middle to elongate your face. To get a parting to look natural you need to style it from wet. Part wet hair with a comb and apply a little styling cream (1&2) around the parting. Blowdry your hair in the direction you want the hair to fall.

Once dry add a little hairspray to keep any strays in place!

My hair constantly has dry ends. I have thick hair but I rarely use heated tools and always condition it. Please don’t say cut them off – I have regular trims but they keep coming back!
