• One race is scheduled for each class.
Eligibility
• This race is open to all MBSA classes.
Start Time
• The first warning signal will be made at 1200 hrs. COURSE • Start ing Line > is Mark “32” Hospital Shoals Bouy “GR C HS”
You must leave Georges Island to starboard keeping Boston Light within the course • Mark “N” Graves Lighted Whistle “G5” to starboard • Mark “X” Davis Ledge Gong “G 1DL” to starboard, • Finish Line > is Mark “32” Hospital Shoals Bouy “GR C HS” finishing with Georges Island to starboard.
You will call in on VHF 68 and document your finish time and any visible boats in front and behind you. Marks
• All rounding marks will be government marks. • All MBSA exclusion zones apply.
Time Limit
• The time limit for all classes will be 8 hours after the start of each class. However, the RC may extend this time limit by broadcast on VHF 68 and/or other means of communicating to the fleet. • Finish Window will be 3 hours after the first boat in each class finish. Handicap System
• The ORR-ez Time-on-Time handicapping will be used. • Class splits will be based on the 2020 MBSA class splits. • The course will be Random Leg, • The wind range will be Medium unless RC decides otherwise
Rules
• This event will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing and the MBSA General Sailing Instructions, except as modified by this NOR and Event Sailing Instructions. • Yachts shall fly their class flag from the backstay.
Signals Made Ashore
• There will be no signals made ashore.
Race Committee
• The RC will monitor Channel 68. • Yachts must notify the RC if withdrawing. • Recalls: The Race Committee will attempt to broadcast sail numbers of OCS boats on VHF 68.
Notices to Competitors
• There will NOT be a skippers meeting, all communication will be via Email. • Notices and changes to Sailing Instructions will be posted on
Regattaman as the official notice board. All on-the-water communications will be on VHF channel 68.
Protests
• The PRO must be informed of the intent to protest within 1 hour of the protestor’s finish. • Protests must be filed by 1200 July 26th. Appendix T (Arbitration) of the RRS is in effect.
Awards
• Trophies will be awarded [determined by the number of entries in each class] to first, second, and third places at our annual awards party in November 2020.
