Sunburn is no joke as it is considered a third-degree burn with its pain, redness andinflammation. If left untreated, it can have adverse consequences. Milk Compress Milk is very effective at relieving sunburn symptoms like inflammation, pain and irritation due to its cooling and moisturizing properties. Put a cup of milk in a bowl along with four cups of water and ice cubes. Soak a towel or clean cloth in it and compress it on the affected area for 20 minutes. Apply this remedy three times a day. 2. Ice Pack Prepare an icepack by wrapping some ice cubes in a muslin cloth then compress it on the affected area. This will relief the burning sensation quickly and will reduce inflammation as the coldness would narrow the blood vessels. Be careful not to apply ice directly on the affected areas.

3. Cucumber Cucumbers have anti-inflammatory properties which are helpful in relieving sunburn and giving the skin a radiant glow. Slice a cucumber thinly and scrub the slices on the affected skin. Wash the cucumber off your skin with cold water when it becomes dry. If you want to benefit from the properties of cucumber for face sunburn, use a blender to extract the juice of a cucumber and mix the juice with glycerin and rose water before applying it on your face. 4. Twist the cloth to remove excess water then put it on the affected area. 7. Honey Honey has moisturizing properties which can reduce the swelling caused by sunburn and rejuvenate the skin. Apply undiluted honey on the damaged skin three times a day for a week. You can also dissolve a tablespoon of honey in a glass of water and drink it to help the immune system speed up healing. 8. Cornstarch Cornstarch is helpful in reducing sunburn irritation and preventing the chafing of skin. All you have to do is make a paste of cornstarch with a few drops of water then apply it on the affected area to ease the burning sensation. Leave the paste until it dries then wash it off with lukewarm water. Avoid exposing your skin to the sun until you heal completely.
