On the occasion of EU Beating Cancer Plan, Next Generation EU, National Cancer Plan (HR) and National Lung Cancer Screening Programme (HR), Health Hub (think tank for healthcare in Croatia) and Croatian Ministry of Health are co-organizing High Level Policy Forum ADDRESSING CANCER INJUSTICE IN CEE COUNTRIES with many partners like from European Cancer Organisation, European Cancer Patient Coalition, InoMed, Central European Collaborative Oncology Group, and local support from European Commission (Croatian Office) and European Parliament (Croatian Office).
As EU Beating Cancer Plan highlights, number of indicators show major differences in cancer prevention and care between and within Member States. These inequalities can be seen in access to prevention programmes, in rates of early cancer detection, diagnosis, access to treatment, survival and measures to improve quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. These inequalities are unacceptable in a European Health Union that seeks to protect everyone.
