Bi o l o gy AS/A le ve l Entry Requirements 5 GCSE grades A* - C or equivalent (expected) including Mathematics, English, and Science GCSE BB (higher tier) Triple or Additional Science. Studying Biology will enable you to understand the similarities between all living things. You will learn how cells, (smaller than the eye can see), make up the largest animals and how these animals and all other life are controlled by two tiny strands of DNA. You will learn by practical work, theory, group and independent work. Achieving a good grade in Biology, when combined with other appropriate A level subjects, will enable you to go on to further study for careers in health and clinical professions such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, physiotherapy, pharmacy, optometry and nursing.
