Highlights

The fifth annual Indy Shorts International Film Festival took place July 19-24, 2022 and was nothing short of magical! The festival theme, The Greatest Shorts on Earth, brought carnival fun around every corner while celebrating the art of short film (40 minutes or less). Over six days, attendees witnessed 150 short films from 25 countries, streamed 7,000+ short films, met 100 talented filmmakers and consumed 700 bags of cotton candy!

Indy Shorts awarded $30,000+ in cash prizes and presented three Oscar® qualifications to the Grand Prize-winning films, "Ousmane" (Live Action), "Stranger at the Gate" (Documentary) and "Black Slide" (Animation). Emmy nominee Colman Domingo ("Euphoria,” 2022) was honored with the Pioneering Spirit Award at the event. Domingoʼs short films, "New Moon" and "NORTH STAR," won Audience Choice Awards in the Animated and Narrative categories, respectively.
