Become A Volunteer

Volunteers are involved in all aspects of Indy Shorts and the Heartland International Film Festival, including the planning of events, working at the theaters and providing hospitality for filmmakers and guests.

BECOME A PRE-SCREENER

Our volunteer pre-screening committees assist with viewing films submitted to Indy Shorts and HIFF. The programming staff carefully selects applicants based on their knowledge and interest in film, as well as their writing and film analysis strengths. Screening committee volunteers will receive festival ticket/Fest Pass benefits based on the number of films they have reviewed at the end of the pre-screening period.

Because the pre-screening process is entirely online, you can live anywhere, but you need reliable access to the Internet for streaming HD video and a personal computer or tablet.
