Two major bushfres in the space of fve years is still not going to dampen the spirits of the Nymboida Camping and Canoeing organisation, according to management committee secretary, Ros Cooper.

“We are not victims, we are survivors,” she said.

“We are still here, however, the reality for us as a community run organisation is, we don’t have the capacity to run next year’s Clarence Valley Camp Oven Festival.

“We will only be using a third of our camping

On Saturday and Sunday there will be camp oven cooking demonstrations, ukelele workshops, live music spots, art workshops and much more.

As part of the venue’s Bush Regeneration Program there will also be a chance to do some tree planting.

The weekend will decorations that reminded me of the ones our sons had made when they were little. capacity, so it will be more spacious, reducing the stress on organisers but providing a more relaxed experience for campers alowing time to chill.”

‘Tis the second season of Christmas since the foods hit and I wonder how many of us were able to save our trees and decorations.

We weren’t. They all foated away, or more correctly were thrown out on the front lawn to be collected and taken away.

There will be no day visitors as tickets will be for the full long weekend culminate on the Sunday night with a bush dance with the Frohlich Brothers.
