The cooler crisp air is here! Happy Fall Y'all. It's always a little sad to see summer go, but Fall is one of our favorites! Engagement season is right around the corner, and if you have been secretly pining for a diamond ring, we don't blame you. We've all been there. And if you are secretly planning, we hope you'll enjoy this action-packed issue. To kick off the issue, we are featuring a beautiful styled shoot at Rollin's Mansion utilizing florals in so many unique ways. What first caught our eyes was all the amazing pressed florals, lollipops, cookies, and cakes – oh my! The venue provided the perfect ambiance for all the romantic details and gave us a total secret garden vibe. We chose three weddings to feature this issue, and they are all beautiful and personal in their unique way! Let us start with our feature wedding, Alexa + Jon. Their wedding blew us away. The design was a mix of whimsical, bohemian style, using natural grasses, neutral colors, and airy fabrics! And wait until you see their ceiling floral installation, it's dreamy. The second wedding is Tabitha + Kayla's "Crystal Clear" wedding, they gave sparkle a new meaning. They brought the glitz and glam and wait until you see Tabitha's tiara! Our last wedding is a classic black and white wedding with lots of fun twists! The personal touches that went into this wedding were amazing and one-of-a-kind. This floral installation by Shelly Sarver Designs is GOALS!
The very first wedding decision Alexa and Jon made for their wedding was choosing a photographer. Alexa, a talented photographer herself, knew it was essential they select someone who would reflect their style, personality, and capture the authentic vibe of their wedding. Jenna Borst is based in Michigan, where Jon and Alexa both went to college. It was significant to the couple to have a piece of Michigan at their wedding. A big inspiration to the couple was Jon’s Vietnamese heritage combined with their Midwestern roots. It was not about following “wedding tradition” but what was right in the couple’s hearts. Alexa wanted the design to be a reflection of her whimsical, bohemian style, using natural grasses, neutral colors, and airy fabrics, even having a dance floor under the stars! And the couple’s rehearsal dinner in Alexa’s childhood backyard had Asian-inspired cocktails, tropical colors, and a homemade Vietnamese meal prepared by Jon’s mother. It doesn’t get more special than that. Alexa chose a stunning dress from Schaffer’s by Hayley Paige. It’s one of our favorites with those full layers of fabric on the skirt, dainty bodice, and a back with a simple line of beads down the middle. With the beaded headpiece Alexa wore in her hair, the whole look was complete. Initially, the couple had planned to have the wedding in a field near Jon’s childhood home, but two weeks before the location fell through (eeek!). Luckily, they found a new spot, complete HEART LANDWEDDINGIDEAS.COM

with ethereal meadow and canopied trees. After such a crazy and unpredictable few weeks, the day of the wedding, the couple felt like time had suddenly stopped, and they were able to be fully in the moment. Alexa got her airy and fresh feel to her big day. One of the first things she noticed was the jaw-dropping floral installation by Shelly Sarver Designs hanging in the middle of the tented space. The floral spilled from every table! We wouldn’t expect any less from the Sarver Design team; they take whimsical to the next level. The night was a whirlwind! The dance floor was packed until the last song of the night. The couple was surrounded by the people they love most in life as they sang, ate late-night tacos, danced, and laughed their hearts out under theCOLOR clear evening sky. WEDDING PALETTE

Once the pandemic hit in March, the couple started to get nervous. “It was frightening to think about,” Tabitha told us. “We held planning a little until June. Thankfully, venues reopened, and we decided to pursue the wedding, not knowing if things would potentially be worse in the future.” Like so many couples, Tabitha and Kayla

It was a modern romance, which started on a Bumble dating app and a first date soon after at Zoo Brew. After a whirlwind romance, Andy got on one knee during Easter. He used an Easter Basket to propose, but she had to solve a puzzle for her happy ending, which luckily for Andy she found all the pieces and said YES! Alison loved the romantic at-home engagement, especially after spending months ‘Chip and Joann'ing', this was the icing on top and the perfect celebration for a house that finally felt like home and one of the happiest moments in their life. Since Alison was a wedding planner all through college, she immediately jumped into planning mode and knew immediately the style of the wedding she wanted. Alison was thorough and had three companies picked for each wedding vendor, and they met with each of them to compare packages and pricing. Overall, they ended up choosing the vendors who best fit their vision as well as budget. Their style was classic elegance that was timeless and FUN! They both loved the simplistic look of all white flowers and black apparel. Furthermore, they had their sights on The Tea Room and knew their vision was a perfect match for the venue.
