Titled “ước” (or “wish”), this poetry collection represents parts of ourselves that we have reflected upon throughout college and still want to learn more about as we get older. As first-generation low-income students and Vietnamese Americans, much of our work is compelled by tensions surrounding language barriers, “diasporic nostalgia”, authentication of Vietnamese identity, intergenerational growth, and community healing.
