My Sister the Trickster “Don’t touch me, my stuff, or anything else!” “Leave me alone” “Get out of my room” The three most common things heard in my house. Now of course there are also the occasional: “You’re stupid” “I hate you” and “Your a bum!” This is just a typical sister-tosister relationship. If you can find sisters who don’t have these conversations – PLEASE – tell me. Now, if you read my title then you know that I describe my sister as a ‘trickster’. This is because she recently has tried to become more clever, and she is obsessed with trying to pull the things I pulled. My parents guessed this would happen, because I went through a phase where I tried to do EVERYTHING I wasn’t supposed to do. Elena, has been known to follow what I’m doing, and just me in general. Now, the tricks she pulls aren’t exactly ‘pranks’. They are more sneaking things such as food or money, and also doing things to me. Although I told you that Elena followed me; in this case, she doesn’t do a very good job. She almost always gets caught by my parents or me. I don’t. This is because I pay to the little details. What I Do: When I steal chocolate I make sure to know exactly where the box is, which way the box is facing, and where the chocolates inside of the box are placed. This way, after I take the chocolate I can maneuver the chocolates inside the box so that it doesn’t look like anything was taken. I then turn the box so it is facing the same way as before, and I make sure to put it back in the exact same place. What Elena Does: When Elena takes the chocolate, she takes the chocolate out of the
box and doesn’t rearrange the remaining chocolates. This leaves behind a big gap which makes makes it obvious that someone had taken a chocolate. Then she leaves the box in a different shelf then it belongs in. This makes it even more obvious because my mother is super neat and she likes her chocolate, so she would never misplace it. Worst Mistake Elena Made While Stealing Chocolate: The worst mistake Elena ever made while stealing chocolate, was just (in my opinion) very stupid. What she forgot to do was one of the most obvious, and the easiest thing ever. She MUST have just been having a bad day or something… I hope. I mean; SHE FORGOT TO CLOSE THE LID ON THE BOX! (This makes it REALLY obvious that someone has been in the box and taken chocolate!) Also, I guess she wasn’t eating very carefully because my mom and I could see chocolate on her touch, her lips, and a little on her cheek. Just to top it off, even if these two things hadn’t happened, we still would have known. She didn’t eat anything after, and she didn’t brush her teeth either. This meant that we could smell the smell of chocolate on her breath when she talked.
Now, I realize that I have started talking about two different topics. I talked a little bit about the everyday name-calling, and yelling, and how Elena always talks about me, and I talked about how ‘my sister is a trickster’, but I didn’t connect the two things.
Elena’s following me goes further than just following my tricks, or ‘pranks’. She does EVERYTHING I do. (Or at least, she tries to…) This often causes me to get annoyed and become snippy. This results in her yelling, insulting, sometimes hitting me. I try (but not very hard
) to control myself before I start yelling back. But I DON’T hit. Hitting is
Cruel and should never be done.
Anyway, these yelling fits between us can go on for a long time. It is hard to control us when we really go at it. I know this sounds kinda weird, but I kinda wish I could be watching one of these fights some day. I think it might be really funny and entertaining.
Anyway, this is why there is always fighting in my house‌
