Beverage Design - FruitShot Assignment: Design a hypothetical beverage company, complete with labeling, packaging, brand name, advertisement and logo. I was very fascinated with the idea of fruit infused waters. From the start, the idea was beautiful for photographs and from there it all came together. I wanted to add some hand lettering style for the labels that I thought would be playful but wouldn’t take too much focus away from the actual product itself. My design was also exhibited in the Culinary Arts Museum at Johnson and Wales University for the Summer and Fall 2016 showcase.
Infographic - Day One, RI NONPROFIT WORK: This infographic was created for a non-profit organization- Day One, in Providence, RI. They deal with the state’s child exploitation and sex trafficking. My client, Day One, released their new protocol for responding to cases of human trafficking. My team and I were asked to create an infographic for them to use Wednesday January 27th, 2016, when they launched this approach. They had chose my infographic and is now featured on their website. Along with my infographic being seen on their website-- a handout of the infographic was given to every attendee of the press event, including Gov Raimondo, Senate President Paiva Weed, law enforcement, and more. The event also made the front page of the Providence Journal. This was the first piece of mine to ever be recognized to this level.
Editorial Design - New Hampshire Travel Assignment: Conceptualize, design and create a multi-spread feature article layout for an editorial design for a standard 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 magazine. Conway, New Hampshire has always been a favorite place of mine, especially in the fall time where the leaves are changing colors. I had plenty of photos from a vacation I took that I wanted to use for an article and thought this editorial would be a perfect place to showcase them. This magazine is meant to be a local travel insight for tourists in the Conway area for tips, secrets and inspiration from the areas around them.
Holiday Card & Wrapping Paper- Invitation Design Assignment: Create a series of holiday greeting cards with matching wrapping paper and an envelope. For a redesign of a previous project, I chose to create a series of holiday cards, with matching wrapping paper. This design is meant to be simplistic without a definitive holiday theme. I chose to have prominent hand lettering to be paired with the quirky illustrations. Throughout the series, I added a silver sparkle or glitter effect. I also designed the envelope to resemble the cards with the same hand lettering to emphasized the recipient.

For this project, my inspiration came from my “furbabies” Dusty & Kaiya. I knew I wanted to have a brand that stood for strong and tough dogs because my own are that way. I created a brand that represented tough products for dogs who like to chew, or have chewing habits and treats to aid their habits into healthy ones for their gums.

Brand Redesign - Olive Garden Assignment: Re-brand an already existing restaurant for a new target audience - complete with a logo, environmental graphics & a menu. I chose to re-brand Olive Garden into a fast food restaurant. I borrowed content from Olive Garden’s restaurant, but I wanted the menu to be limited since we were dealing with the fast food elements. I wanted a quick menu to display the food options, along with a mockup of the environmental paneled menu which would be displayed inside the restaurant. I also wanted the fast food locations to be a outside dining area where you can get the current Olive Garden sit down style meals, but for the same price and serving sizes.
Vote Poster - AIGA Assignment: Create a “Get Out The Vote” poster for AIGA. This project was assigned during the beginning of the Presidential Campaigns. The only restrictions were that there could be no obvious party favoritism. It had to be a neutral stand point for any party. I chose to reach out to the tech-savvy generation. As the newcomers of voting, the technology generation tend to be more vocal on social media about a debate or campaign rather than actually voting for it’s purpose. I wanted to make a poster that spoke to both questions of why they aren’t voting and how it won’t make a difference if you post about it.

The Good Life Expo 2015 & 2016 During my Spring 2015 trimester at Johnson & Wales, I had taken a Creativity in Advertising course. Our final project was to assist a member from the Health Services department at the university in creating a campaign for the Health & Wellness fair in the fall. My group and I were asked to be a part of the committee with our marketing strategy and design work. Throughout the 2015 and 2016 summer terms, I had a major role on the marketing team as the graphic designer, in partnership to other students with advertising and video skills. Here is the logo I had designed, marketing collateral with giveaways, t-shirt design and more throughout the two summer terms I assisted.

Website Screen Design - Givebones Assignment: Redesign a Design For Good user interface. By picking an organization, we were prompted to recreate the interface using wire framing and actual size dimensions per screen design. This was one of the first website screen design projects that I had worked on to fill white space, add in more content to make the previous interface more appealing to the user.

Trading Cards - The Steel Yard NONPROFIT WORK: These trading cards were created for a non-profit organization The Steel Yard, in Providence, RI. The Steel Yard is a catalyst in the creative industrial district that helps foster industrial arts and small business. The atmosphere at The Steel Yard is very cultivating and experimental with such a strong community network and support. My team and I were asked to revamp their existing “trading cards” that were used as examples of work for their industrial clients. I chose to keep some similarities towards their existing brand standards along with the content they provided for us. I wanted to keep the information prominent and eye catching to the potential client for The Steel Yard.
Application Interface Design - Titanic Assignment: Design a mock interface, application. I worked in collaboration with another student, Amanda TerBush. Our goal was to create an application for children in grade school, who would go on field trips to Mystic Aquarium and learn about the Titanic. As the tour host guided them, they could follow along with the app and have an interactive tour. This would also be a fun way to get students involved with technology in the classroom.
Food Truck Design - The Breakfast Club Assignment: Conceptualize and develop a brand for a food truck - complete with a logo, menu, packaging and truck wrap design. My inspiration for this design came from the movie, “The Breakfast Club” directed by John Hughes. I focused in on DownCity, Providence RI because near the campus of Johnson & Wales University, there are not many breakfast places besides smaller cafes and Dunkin’ Donuts. College students and local community members are always rushing around for a quick breakfast bite before they head off to class or a meeting. With my Breakfast Club Food Truck, the quality of having a sit down breakfast would be conveniently settled into on-the-go style grabs, easy to take with you.

Title Sequence - The Breakfast Club Assignment: Construct a opening title sequence for a TV show or movie with your own artwork, using Adobe After Effects For a final project in a Motion Graphics class, I chose “The Breakfast Club because I wanted to take a spin on re-creating one of my favorites. I chose to go with animated cartoon illustrations because the original title sequence lacked in any actual visuals and I wanted to test my illustration skills in a new medium. This was my first time using the Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to create a design element in animation.
Web Screen Design - SKEF Assignment: Redesign SKEF (South Kingston [RI] Education Foundation) website using Adobe Photoshop. In our Screen Design course, the mock client wanted a new design for a more appealing appearance to the SKEF audience, set with size and content restrictions, mandatory information and user experience for the website. The user must have an easier time navigating through the interface. This was a project that introduced my design work into a client atmosphere of design.
