Second Annual TTAA-XIT Chapter Golf Tournament Last year’s golf tournament was a huge success. We hope you’ll join us again on Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th, for our second annual tournament.
Friday, July 24 This year we will be hosting a skins tournament on the Friday before the tournament. Tickets are $25 each (or five for $100) and you can golf or designate a golfer. There will be $1,800 in prize money up for grabs. Raffle is at 6pm and tee off is at 7pm.
Saturday, July 25 Tournament day! Tee off will be at 11am and the player fee is $75 per person. Please call the club to register for the tournament as spots are limited. Golf cart rentals will be available.
2015 Scholarships Awarded Thanks to the generosity of our members, we were able to award five deserving students scholarships. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship which will be applied to their tuition for the 2015 - 2016 school year. The scholarship committee reviewed the applications and created a rubric for scoring potential recipients. The field was narrowed down to five students. These students hail from Stratford, Dalhart, and Hartley and include incoming freshmen and current students.
If you aren’t a golfer, make sure you join us after the tournament for an evening of good food and fun. We will have a sit-down dinner and an auction/raffle. Register by calling the country club at 244-5597. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the tournament, please contact Jay Peeples at 333- 5655.
This year’s recipients include John Diller (Dalhart), Hunter Everett (Stratford), Geriet Lenz (Hartley), Sibbie Priestly (Dalhart), and Dustin Schniederjan (Dalhart).
